I need some beta testers to try out my hack, to see what they think about the levels in my hack. So anybody want to be my beta testers? I would gladly appreciate it.

Sure. As long as it's SMW, SMB3 or Super Metroid.
Or maybe a different game, as long as I have the rom for it.

Based off of his other threads here, I think it's SMB3. Just a guess.

Sorry guys, did not mean to abbreviate and all that stuff, i just had to go somewhere fast. so anyway, since its not allowed to transfer roms here, we are still allowed to give out emails so we can personally transfer roms/ips/hack files. So to answer Giga bowser, i am interested in testing your beta hack, whatever it may be. My email is tahu363@aol.com

in case anybody wants the super mario ips patch file, i have attached it. what it does, is put large medium, and small goombas in the courtyard, a flying and metal hat box near the cannon, and a big goomba and 5 yoshis on the roof with a warp pipe that leads back to the courtyard. to use this you will need bswap or Byte Swapper to rearrange the ordering of your rom to ABCD and then use lunar ips to patch this file to the original rom.

i know this was off subject, but i am just trying to show one of the few mario 64 ips patches that actually works. anyway, giga, could you please tell what your beta hack does and what game its for?? ps include screenies!

OKay....Giga created a thread, and never showed his face here again. What game are you hacking, Giga? I would love to be a beta tester if it's from a game I like.

Sorry, I was busy with Desert Land's levels. But if you want to know, it is Super Mario Bros. 3, but I'll post some screenshots as soon as I figure how to get the Hammer Bros levels 1 & 2 to look right. It keeps glitching everytime I put more enemies than it originally has. I need help getting those two levels fixed...

If you are going to distribute ips patches that ARE NOT YOURS then at the very least put the name of the person who created it. In this case VL_Tone (also known as v_twin on other forums/boards) is the person who owns that IPS, so in future put the person's name/names.
Thats all I gotta say.

You cannot add more enemies to ANY level than what the level originally had. You cannot add more objects than what the level originally had (i.e. the sum of the 3 byte and 4byte objects has to equal or be less than the original sum) By adding enemies to a level, it must find space somehow, so guess how it does it? It spills over into another level's enemy space, so that other level won't work. So stop trying to add enemies, it'll never work unless you make every single level from scratch and keep track of level pointers yourself.
