yay! i'm not alone--I live in CA and I always wear jeans/pants/khakis and something long sleeve. I can't stand to be cold--i rather have more layers of clothes and shed them as needed than to not have enough clothing and freeze

Canada? It's hotter in Canada?!

Holy fuck, those are high tempertures for being way up there ABOVE the US. You think it'd be cold.

Won't be long before the north pole becomes a swimming pool.

And everything else becomes an oven....

Amusing feature of the heat wave: You can see people on other forums talking about how it's high 30s-40s in Canada, while other people talk about how that's nothing, since they (in the US, invariably) regularly deal with high 80s-90s where they live. It's amusing laughing at the idiocy.

In other words, it'd be from 90 to 110.

Fahrenheit

Not even close.

You way of spelling makes it seem like a German dish or something.

And I obviously never knew that. I mean, seriously.

Actually, if you want to be really melodramatic, you should put it all in Kelvins. "In New Brunswick, it's currently 300 degrees..."

It's cooled down now. Just a nasty heat wave. Nice timing too, started the day after I got back from Animé North. I'd probably have shriveled up and died from dehydration - while taking a drink - if it'd been that hot while I had that big costume on.

if the convention is outside, yes, I am surprised you survived--but if it was indoors in an air conditioned convention center, then you haven't faced anything...

the weather is starting to return to normal back in california now--it was 85+ F today. I rolled down the windows of my car when driving and it wasn't helping

It was a bit of both. Outside plus a big convention center plus a big hotel. They did have air conditioning, but hardly enough for such large buildings.
