Amen. I lke the changes as a whole, except for the reordering of the forum headings (and thus the forums) around, it is kinda confusing the first few times when you're still used to the old order.

I thought I didn't need to say anything in the thread since other people had already mentioned.. but.. the Story Forum and Sim Battle.. Oliga... whatever-archy or not, I'm still gonna request that the two forums to be seperated.


For the most of it, the changes seem to be alright. It'll get some getting used to, like seeing Modern Art down where it is, heh. But I'm not complaining about those changes.

This will take some getting used to. I am actually most annoyed by that ugly sticky image. 8D
How about moving the Modern Art and Entertainment category under the General category, so the change won't be that great?
Category titles written L I K E T H I S reminds me of irritating noob sites.

General Gaming looks really really chaotic with all those stickies and craziness. I realize Game Creation was always niche, but damn that sucks. I was hoping to settle in at Game Creation for a while. But less forums is always better I guess.

Yeah, we... Well, lots of forums need to have way fewer sticky threads. I'm in the process of going through my forum and plan to discuss sticky removal with JJ and Smallhacker; I suggest mods of other forums do the same.

Why not try to make the forums to follow the old order much as possible? Geez, the art and enteariment forum could as well go into the general category.

I don't like the separation of the sim-battle and story forums.

Also, as a result of them being joined, you can no longer access the second page of the new forum. Well, you CAN, but there aren't any page links.

As for category names, if you're going to add spaces between each letter, it would make sense to add two spaces when you usually put one... Referring to "A R T & E N T E R T A I N M E N T".

Anyway, it's cool to have the hacking forums at the top now. And it's only natural.

Same thing here It was convenient before knowing just how far down the page I had to scroll if I wanted to see the link to a given forum, but aside from being disorienting at first, this new layout looks nice. At least the General and trash areas are still in the same place. It's just a matter of getting used to the new arrangement of what's in between them

I'm sure some things are going to be changed before too long though, so it's going to be interesting to see exactly what happens. I assume at most the Sim-Battle / Story forums will get unmerged (seeing as I've seen a couple things said about that in this thread so far), but there's no way to tell for sure right now

I still think the Sim Battle forum is rather dead-ish, giving it back its own thing would probably not get too many posts. In my opinion.
