Hi there! I have a prob with the SMB rom and the level editor :
When I open the rom from the level editor, il says ''The ROM does not have a 0x200 byte header!''

What do I have to do, everyone? Please, help me!

(EDIT) i tried a hex editor, but it's too complicated, so I downloaded again the rom and... it don't work more!

What?

You do realize this is the SMW hacking forum, right?

However, for the sake of helpfulness, I will assume you misspelled it.

Lunar Magic will NOT open a headerless ROM. I don't know why, since unheadered ROMs run perfectly fine on most emulators, but meh

What you have to do is open the ROM in a hex editor and add (NOT Overwrite) x200 bytes to the header. Make sure to put "x" or "0x" before the specified amount to indicate that it's in hex, otherwise the program will add 200 bytes in decimal, which, needless to say, doesn't work.

Save your changes to the ROM and then try to open the ROM in Lunar Magic. Done correctly, the ROM will open.

Hope this helps

So that you don't have IPS Patches floating around that some work with unheadered and some with headered. Having it only work with headered makes it uniform.

It's probably listed as "Insert", not "Add". Try that... may help...

Go to http://www.romhacking.net and under the 'Utilities' section, search for "snestool" and download it. It can add a header to any unheadered SNES rom.

He's.....trying to header a ROM. That has nothing to do with the music patch, unless he went and misworded it or something
