I hope this poll won't be incredibly one-sided...

I personally am not entirely sure which version I'll get.
I mean, sure, I'm buying the Wii, but will the new changes make the game "icky"?

I can honestly see myself buying the traditional version just out of fear that the Wii version will be too gimmicky and/or tiring.

We can all thank god that we don't have to swing our arms around (for the approx. 100 hours of gameplay) to use Link's sword, and controlling the bow and arrows could be neat, but then there's the question of opening menues using the fairy; hovering it over the desired icon on-screen with the Wiimote, then pressing the button.

I guess that's what scares me the most: That damned fairy!
If it were just a simple 'press button to open menu' system, then there'd basically be nothing to fear.

Your thoughts?

Gamecube.

Because I probably won't have a Wii for a while.

Probaly the Cube. Like Thexare said I might not be getting a Wii for quite a while and I saw some previews for the Wii version and I don't like the controls.

Eh, either one for me is fine.

I may wind up getting the GC version ONLY because the WII is backwards compatable...

Most likely both, but if I was only able to choose one, the Gamecube version, because I see no reason why that wouldn't be the first one released Even with the Wii being backwards-compatible with Gamecube games, it'd be a completely different expeience (in terms of gameplay) to play the Wii-specific version. That is, assuming you're not using the classic controller with it

To make things simple though, I plan on getting whichever version comes out first, which'll most likely be the Gamecube version

I'm going to get whichever comes first like Karadur said. I can't wait for the game to be released any longer.

I'll probably wind up getting both if there are going to be distinct differences in gameplay, or controls. But I'll get the Gamecube version first. Wii will be much too expensive, and probably unavailable for a while.

I'm guessing that getting both would be a waste.
I'm thinking that the controls would be the only different thing...
There may be a few different puzzles though. Argh! I dunno.

Umm... Is it just me? Or is this poll kinda stuffed?
Almost everyone here has said that they'd get the GC version, but Wii's winning the votes 9 - 1!

I know not everyone votes, but that's a little much...
I'm guessing that the results are coming up the opposite of whatever the person votes.

I'd almost certainly go for the Cube version first... means I wouldn't have to get the other system at launch to get the game.

...$199-249 is expensive?

I'll probably pick up Twilight Princess eventually but dunno which version I'll get. If I have to wait a while to get a Wii, I'll go with the GameCube version. Aside from controls, it'll PROBABLY be the same game.

Mainly new controls and a couple of new features, I think. I don't think that the GameCube version is going to be 40-50% of the Wii version given all the development time.

Wii. Mainly for the fact that I'm getting the Wii first day it comes out, so...

I won't worry about the Gamecube version though. I mean, sure, it would be "traditional" but I wouldn't consider myself a traditional gamer.

Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if you could use the gamecube controller with the Wii version of Twilight Princess.

Well, I probably get the Wii version. Though I assume the reason why they release it for both was just not to upset gamecube fans.

How about the fact that I preordered a game for one system that was supposedly being released in April, yet it's coming out later and on another system and I'm not guaranteed "full content" with my version? How is that supposed to not piss me off?

Quoted for truth.

How would it not piss Gamecube owners off?

That's the main reason why I'm still undecided.
I did own a Gamecube, but it got stolen, and with the Wii's backward compatibility, I'm guessing I'd have no problem playing the GC version on the Wii.

Is the Wii version's controls enough to scare consumers off?
It certainly seems that way.
...They spent all this time delaying Gamecube's finest in order to add new controls.
Wii owners who hadn't have bought a GC wouldn't feel left out of the Zelda craze soley because IT PLAYS GC GAMES!

I'm tempted to get both, for the same reason that someone would get both Red and Blue of a game of Pokemon.

But aren't they both slated to release on the same day?
