| Mine is Blue Twilight DX. Mushroom Chaos is a close runner up. My only complaint about these two games is their difficulty and that you can't save your game in Mushroom Chaos. | |||

| Mine is probably Mario Forever, it is a lot like the old SMB for the SNES but you get extra power-ups like Egg-Plant power(I think), but maybe Blue Twilight DX as well. | |||

| I'm not sure if this counts but my favorite is "Mario XP"
It's the perfect blend of Mario and Castlevania I've ever seen and its one of the few fan-games I've seen that lets you save your game. |

| Most fangames really sucked because of alot of things...
-Physics weren't up to par with the original games -The gameplay wasn't traditional -The graphics were sometimes poorly done (there would be tiny '?' blocks and huge grass tiles from SMW) -These things could've been done better in a hack -The view is at 100% as opposed to the clearer 200-300%. -The enemies were always behaving in an odd way. I.e. A boomboom would be a big boss immune to fireballs. The only thing that was good was the freedom to extend past the limits of 8x8, 16 color graphics but it was hard to stay satisfied with just that because there were no editors or engines. That destroyed my motive for playing these watered-down Mario games. |
