Well, I can make the entirety of the cave, I just wanted to get the entryway made while the idea was still in my head.
Comments on the tileset though? Now that I'm more awake, I'm not liking it as much, but I tend to be overly critical of myself... |

It looks pretty good, but it could use some touch ups, such as doing something about the little bit of black on top of the ground tile. Sure, it gives it an uneven surface look, but it creates lines when stacked. That, or you could create another tile specifically for the rest of the ground.

oh cuz i was thinking of figuring out stats and weapon upgrades for all the playable characters and enimies if it were an RPG!
but if its not u can say that u can't open any doors at the beggining unless u have the arm cannon(u start the game witha pistol or stun gun) then u go through the training and u get the arm cannon to open the door which takes u to "The Z-Bus" to start your missions on ZEBES |

u mean there just can't be always opened dorrs taht u dont need the arm cannon for?
cuz if u do do that then u could make the training be training for your Bounty Hunter's Permit! they would give u the thing to open doors at the end of it! but i guess u can't do it if all entrances must be doors! |

Just an idea, when the player is away, have their charcter rest in that same map area. There would be protected map areas around the universe, but you'd have to pay for protection. According to how much and how hard money was to be earned. The users in these areas could not be harmed until they left, or ran out of money and was kicked out of the protected area (Only offline will they be forced out. ).
Another idea. Bounty hunting. A players bounty went up everytime someone placed some money on them for commiting a crime. A user had to place that bounty. Bounty hunters could work alone or along side others in searching for the bounty and split the pay. When the mission was accomplished, they either split the money or turned on each other for all of pay. Everytime you died, you lost some money and all the power-ups the user previously bought. If this game is large enough, I request Guild's or Empire's to be formed between users so that they can dominate too. Extra maps in the galaxy waiting to be captured. You could pay money for your defence if someone raided. But if someone destroyed your planet, they had a right to call it their own. They could build defences and other things just as quickly as you started them. Hope this didn't waste time. I know ideas are one thing, but getting them done takes a lot more effort. |

(AHHH! i have soo many idea for an RPG!) like each time u kill someone u get a certain amount of bounty points? like if there are enimies u kill them and get 2 bounty points, and if u kill onother player u get 10! |

Peardian, um.... if you want, I could update the tileset for you and maybe make some extras....like slime or something.
I also have an idea for a map. Um, how about an ice world? Everything could be slippery and the water could be frozen and stuff. And if you don't have this Frost item, you rapidly lose energy for every second that you're in the area. (it's so cold) How does that sound? |

That's just concept, right? Because I figured online games would have a generally much larger area for the 200+ players that would go online in even that one area. I'm guessing area's need to be as wide as a SMB3 level and as tall as needed.
Besides... It's the very start. Newbies would be crawling EVERYWHERE in that place. |

And what of Player vs. Player content? Considering that a game like this would definitely involve a certain amount of skill, I'm sure people would want to test themselves against each other. Naturally, it's possible for the game to be enjoyable without that stuff, but all these questions must be answered; it's good to know a lot about the game you're going to play before you dive into it, and that's even more important when you're actually making one... Hmm... good point. Now that I think about it, imagine how many people will sit in front of the teleporter and kill anyone who starts. Using "channels" sounds good, but it will be a while before we'll need them.
Anyway, I've been working on the tileset and have produced this: This is a screen onto which I have pasted an improved version of the tileset. (Except Samus, of course.) None of the colors were rearranged, just shades of black added on. Also, the Zoomer spritesheet seems to be incorrect, so I'll put up the improved version in just a bit... |
