I came across a yard sale. In which I found and purchased GTA: SA with official startegy guide and GT4 all for $10.

By the way, can I tell with version of GTA I have using the number on the underside of the disc?

I'm sure I've made bigger strikes in thrift stores. There was one Goodwill where I got a TON of Genesis stuff, but it seems only half of it works. I should post a pic of all the NES games I've gotten thrifting.

If you want to know which version of GTAA you have, if it says "second edition on the bottom of the disc (the front side of course) then you have the version without the "hot coffee" mod. There's also the greatest hits version that has the red banner at the bottom of the disc, also not the one with "hot coffee".

The biggest find I ever made was twelve Super NES games for $16 (Australian dollars). The games included Super Bomberman, Yoshis' Island, NHL 98 and best of all, Super Metroid. I kinda feel bad about not telling the guy how much some of those games were really worth (Most of them were clean, boxed and came with relatively undamaged manuals).

Nothing special on my end...

Xenogears used for $34, Final Fantasy Origins and Chronicles used for about $25 total... that's the best I can think of. =/

US.

My friend found the Japanese version of Chrono Trigger for 10 bucks at a yard sale with the box and everything. It's pretty groovy.

Ah, here's the pic.

Hopefully you can make 'em all out:

Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt (11), Super Mario Bros. (4), Super Mario Bros. 2 (2), Super Mario Bros. 3 (2), Tennis (2), Tetris (3), Kung Fu (2), Dragon Warrior (2), Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! (2), Blades of Steel (2), MLB Baseball (2), Skate or Die (2), Bases Loaded (2), Home Alone, Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune, Super Sprint, Top Players Tennis, Karnov, Ikari Warriors 2: Victory Road, Excitebike, Mad Max, Darkwing Duck, Street Fighter 2010, Kirby's Adventure, Baseball, Solomon's Key, NES Play Action Football, Nightmare on Elm Street, Monopoly, Bases Loaded 2, Tecmo Bowl, Tecmo Super Bowl, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt/World Class Track Meet, Tetris 2, Dr. Mario, Punch-Out!!, Metroid, Ice Hockey, The Simpsons: Bart vs. the Space Mutants, Gyromite, Legendary Wings, Solar Jetman, Pro Wrestling, Lee Trevino's Fighting Golf, Dick Tracy, Base Wars, Double Dribble, Faxanadu, N.A.R.C., Days of Thunder, The Adventures of Bayou Billy, Dungeon Magic, RBI Baseball, Wizards & Warriors

That list and pic is now out of date, because I just snagged another copy of RBI Baseball today. As for that huge load I had from a Goodwill, here we go:

Sega Genesis: Console (version 1), with two standard controllers, one Quikshot controller, RF switch, AC adaptor, and soft game case ($15.00), "NHL 95" ($1.50), "World Championship Soccer", "Arnold Palmer's Tournament Golf", "Bimini Run", "Troy Aikman Football", "Madden 95", "Wimbledon Championship Tennis", "Bill Walsh College Football 95", "NHL '94", "John Madden Football", "LHX Attack Chopper", "NBA Live 97" ($3.00 each), "Wheel of Fortune", "Tommy Lasorda Baseball", "Altered Beast", "Urban Strike", "Evander Holyfield's Boxing", "NHL '94" ($5.00 each)
NES: "Blades of Steel" (2 copies), "Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt" (2 copies), "Home Alone", "Baseball", "Top Players Tennis", "RBI Baseball", "Double Dribble", "Skate or Die", "Tennis", "Ice Hockey" ($5.00 each)
Super NES: "F-Zero", "NBA Live 97", "Extra Innings", "Tecmo Super Bowl", "NHLPA Hockey '93", "Final Fight", "Super R-Type" ($2.00 each)

That's the only time I've been to this one (it's in Danbury, which is nowhere near North Haven). Expect me to plug my auctions mercilessly when I start listing things.

Well, if anyone wanted to buy SMB/Duck Hunt in BULK, no less...

My best steal would be a retail purchase, but... Diablo II: LoD expansion. $10 when it came out, which was a misprint in the flyer but they never picked up on it when I purchased it. Otherwise I'd be paying $40...

I found Shadowgate. It was bundled with some horrible games, too.

It's not like I got them all at ONCE, Colin. One here, one there... Besides, I'd imagine Ye Olde Genesis Collection would be even WORSE. No one gives away Nintendo stuff here.

Megaman X3, local pawn shop, $8. Super Mario RPG, local pawn shop, $8.

I pissed my pants both times.... the pawn shop sells SNES games at a flat rate of $8, and NES games at a rate of $5... I haven't found as many NES games as good.... but my collection is pretty flipping awesome right now. I'll put a pic up sometime.

Last week I picked up Metroid Prime 1 and 2 for £3 at my local gamestation.

It was supposed to be £17 for both of them, but the checkout guy only charged me for £3.

And being the total cunt I am, I left as quickly as I could without saying anything.
