More of Wal-Mart's suckiness or accident? You decide.

I'm placing my bets on it being an accident It's awfully hard to believe that an actual employee at that store would go to the trouble of rigging a toilet, in order to inconvenience a customer. Sure, one of the actual customers could've done something to the toilet as a prank, and that's what seems more likely right now. Unfortunately, the article doesn't specify exactly what kept the guy on the toilet

Then again, the very employee that found the man could've rigged the toilet. After all, that person would know exactly which toilet to go to. Still the "He was banging on the wall when the employee came in" part pretty much removes that option.

Anyways, I don't know about anyone else, but I rarely if ever use a bathroom outside of the two in this house, and the staff bathroom at work. If I can't find a toilet elsewhere, then I'll use the closest one I can find, but otherwise, I'll opt to hold it in

I suspect this guy'll think twice about using a public toilet from now on, but who knows

And that is why I don't use public toilets for a #2.

This has to be a prank. I mean, what are the chances of a strong enough glue to be 'casually' placed on a toilet?

You guys are missing the fact that HE himself could've done it...

A man glued himself to a toilet in a Home Depot, just so he could sue them.

I don't remember if he was counter sued, or if he was arrested.

EDIT: OMG, my hundredth post!!!

Yeah... this really... cant be much more than a really bad prank, or a self inflicted chance to sue...

I mean, wouldnt the guy notice the fact that the toilet seat was relatively sticky?

Or cold and gooey?

Exactly...

1. Glue will dry if it sits. How would the prankster assure that it wouldn't dry?

2. You would notice there was glue, and would've gotten up right away before it even had time to dry, if it wasn't self-inflicted.

3. It's glue... If in some strange case it DID dry that fast, you can easily pull your ass off the seat, if not undo the seat and use hot water to remove it.

It was a prank, I heard about this on the news.

I think it was super glue, but I missed part of the TV news thing about this because the volume was too low, and the article doesn't say much about it.

It'd make sense if it was CA (krazy glue). That stuff will sit for a while, but as soon as it gets pressed between two things, will cure. That's why it's so easy to glue your fingers together with it.

Man glued on toilet? I've heard of a woman being stuck to a lampost. That would probably be better than getting stuck to a toilet.

I was laughing my ass off when I saw that.

Seriously, how can someone not notice that the toilet seat is full of glue? I mean, wouldn't he feel the stickyness when he sat down? I'd hate to think what would have happened if the toilet seat was full of... other stuff...

Oh well.. Yet another reason not to use public washrooms.

Yeah, I believe the story. My mom once got her fingers glued together using the stuff. It's just... instantly dry. It's really amazing.

And he probably felt some resistance and stopped because, well, nobody wants that kind of feelings on their backside.

EDIT: OMG, my hundredth post!!!

I remember reading that in MSN's peculiar postings a few months back. It was the second time that it had occured to the guy, the first being in some other public bathroom. Anyway, everyone was thinking that he did it to sue them, but via lie detector, they found out that he was actually telling the truth and that he didn't do it. Really unlucky bastard, in my opinion.

Oh, I also believe that Home Depot made a settlement with that case. =P

Better than being stuck there.

I heard of that incident... did they ever find out what happened and how he got glued to the toilet? Somethign tells me it's possibly a prank from a new guy that thought it was funny.

What I think is that Wal-mart proves how much they suck. I hardly shop at Wal-mart anymore.

Yes, because if some employee from some multinational mart pulls a prank on someone then automatically the whole multination sucks. Insta-Suck et al.

It's possible to falsify lie detector readings. Not saying it happened here, but it's possible.

I prefer not dealing with public toilets much, anyway... always a bit worried about how clean they may not be.

Haha. The story isn't funny to me, but picturing the poor guy stuck to a toilet seat makes me laugh pretty hard. I feel bad for him. But I've always hated Walmart, after seeing the Documentary.

This is why they make those paper covers.

Well, no it isn't, I doubt they even thought of this when they invented those.
