final fantasy 1 - i only liked it the first time playing through with my brothers and friends around. after that, it becomes a totally shitty game.
final fantasy 2 - i only liked it never. there's nothing fun about it to pull you in.
final fantasy 3 - i liked it for about 10 minutes until realizing it was just the same game. again.
final fantasy 4 - it's only good because of the characters, but it has the same problem as the rest of the games: core gameplay is the same shit, over and over again
final fantasy 5 - wow it's like ff3 but like you want to actually finish it because the job classes are nicely done.
final fantasy 6 - it's like ff4 but with better characters. only problem is that there's too much focus on the lame ones, like terra and celes.
final fantasy 7 - only the characters are good. if cid and barrett weren't in this game, it'd not be worth it.
final fantasy 8 - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
final fantasy 9 - again, only the characters were good.
final fantasy 10 - this one is kind of a toss up. only auron was a great character in this game, and it unfortunately focuses too much on tidus and yuna being lesbians with each other. i didn't like it at all the first time through. then, trying playing through it a second time. the game becomes like a well crafted comedy!

so in essence, the only good thing about ANY of these games is that the characters were great, they however suffer the same problem as the grand theft auto games, and that is that their core gameplay is NOT how i like games to be.

i didn't mention FFT because it's not a copy of the other games. it's its own game but given the final fantasy name for $$$.

it gives it the link to final fantasy, but i don't consider it a final fantasy game simply because its gameplay is not like the traditional rpgs of the series.
