Alright! I've been waiting for this! New music? I hope you mean the SMB3 and SMB1 music... because if you don't, people are going to bug you to help them get new music into THEIR hacks.... *already downloaded and is ready to patch* Hmmm... Will my hands be tied up between playing Kirby Squeak Squad, Yoshi's Island DS, Sonic Heroes, and this? Let's find out!

I loved that new ability. I HATED the fact that I beat the game the day after I got it. XD So the next day, I bought Yoshi's Island DS, and I'm now at World 4-3. Can't wait to beat World 4-4.... Then the same day, I bought Sonic Heroes... I can't stop playing it, but I HATE the title screen music.

Oh, by the way, they're not the reason why I haven't been here the rest of this week- I was originally going to wait until NEXT week, when I get internet access for my new laptop! Oh yeah, it looks like no one will beat HyperHacker now.

I noticed that, too- So I used Snes9x, and THAT works. Just be warned- Mario seems to be VERY slow to me, and Mario Castle isn't even worth going through. It's too short, if you ask me. Oh well. I was tired of getting hit a lot and Mario being super-slow, so I just turned off my emulator.

It seems great, but one thing... HOW DID YOU GET THAT CEILING-WALKING KOOPA?! If you were able to change the direction of gravity for enemies, please show us how you did that! I've been wanting that for a while...

AHAHAHAHA! That's a bit true! My problem on it is my obsession with getting 100 points. That means I constantly lose my lives ON PURPOSE at bosses just so I can try again to keep all 30 stars I have. Including at Six-Face Sal. And Bessie Bass. And many others. XD I have the players guide, so I can easily tell where everything is. And yes, I know it'll be tough. I have the Player's Guide. (By the way, is it true again that you must beat the final boss to unlock the Secret levels? I know that the Extra levels are unlocked by getting a perfect 800 points in each of the normal 8 levels of a World, and SMA3 had Secret levels that opened after beating the final boss. By the way, I noticed you get to use a Black Yoshi at the Secret levels. Yay.)

Wait, WHAT? You can make Mario move along the ceiling? How? Or is it just an effect of flipping the entire level upside-down when you enter a pipe (Meaning, you enter the pipe, and instead of spitting you out of the top and putting you upside-down, it's a normal pipe that sends you to another level, which is identical, except everything is flipped upside-down)?

YOUR README IS NOW NULL AND VOID. I (Foolishly?) decided to try your updated version of the hack on ZSNES 1.42. IT WORKS! I believe that the locking was not only the source of the glitched gameplay, but also the freezing in ZSNES. Now I shall clear Mario Castle YET AGAIN!!! Ahahahaha!

As for tomorrow, I'm probably going to go to sleep earlier than usual. Loud fireworks will most likely be shot off tomorrow night, thus keeping me up ALL NIGHT.

Hapi-San, how are you going to work the Emeralds? Are you going to allow the player to keep getting Chaos Emeralds (And those "Nega Emeralds", too) from a single Act and Zone just by going through it over and over and over again, like in your last demo here? Or are you going to find a way to allow the player only ONE Emerald from both sets per Zone, like in Sonic games these days? (And will ya show us what happens when you get all 7 Emeralds from BOTH sets? Will you have a NEW Sonic form? Will you have an Extra Zone? WILL YOU DO BOTH?! XD)

On the same subject, here's an idea (that I'm sure will get shot down quickly, but what's the harm in trying?): Why not a little notice in "Edit Profile" that says "NO PLAIN-TEXT SIGNATURES" (or something like that), like with the Header? (That one says "DO NOT PUT TEXT HERE." in big, bold, red text.) That way, people will know NOT to put plaintext there. Though, I'm confused now. Is it that plain-text sigs are banned no matter what, or that they're okay as long as it's easy to tell where the post itself is and where the post ends and signature begins? I would appreciate some clarification here, please.

Really? So far, I've found it to be quite enjoyable. Though, if you ask me, they could've done without Cream in the Sonic Advance games. She's OVERKILL with her Chao, Cheese. Just a few hits takes down bosses, and you can hit them NO MATTER WHERE THEY ARE. It makes the Zone 7 and Final Zone bosses WAY too easy for the last bosses of Sonic Advance 2 and 3. Meh.

I'm not doing anything tonight. Yay. I hope I get internet for my laptop tomorrow. That'd make me happy (especially since I made the mistake of installing Norton Anitvirus on my laptop out of annoyance. It kept telling me to install anitvirus software on my computer, though I felt it could've waited until AFTER I got internet. Is it REALLY possible for a computer to get a virus or spyware when it can't even hook up to the internet?).

Sonic enters GHZ1 for the fifth time and gets 50 negative rings, now the Nega Emerald special stage ring is gone as well.

I hope that makes more sense. o.O; Only once you have completed Green Hill Zone through to the final boss will the special stages be "unlocked" again in every act all the time.

So, once you beat a Zone boss, you can go back to the previous Acts and get ALL 7 Emeralds in each set WHILE STILL IN THE SAME ZONE? THAT is what I want to know- If you're going to keep it possible to gain all 7 Emeralds (of both sets) in one single Zone. I don't like that. It ruins the difficulty. I like it better when there's one Emerald PER ZONE. That makes it to where if you get a Zone's Emerald, and enter the Zone's Special Stage AGAIN, you can't get the Emeralds for the NEXT Zone.

And THAT is why I buy Player's Guides. I need to know how to beat bosses. Did you know that the boss of 3-4 never once pulled me under? And did you know that I have gotten a PERFECT 100 on all levels (except the Extra levels, which I can't seem to beat, save for Extra 3, which I already beat with a perfect 100) I've beaten so far? If I don't get a perfect 100 on any level, I keep playing that level until I do. I WANT A PERFECT SCORE ON EACH WORLD.


By the way, shouldn't the December ACS be over now? It's not December anymore, so... Am I right, or am I wrong?

I'd do the following:

1: Give 1/3 of the money to the TRUE homeless people and those who don't have enough money to buy things to keep themselves healthy, let alone anything to eat at all. In other words, give 1/3 of it to the people of the world who truly need it JUST TO STAY ALIVE.
2: Use 1/3 of it to help find cures for the worst diseases in life, so people would be able to live their lives however long they are set to last.
3: Use the other 1/3 to buy a few things for me, then give the rest to the Salvation Army.


Once I become a rich person, I'm doing #1 on the above list. I don't like seeing that happen to people (even if it's on TV). Everytime I see those commercials that end in "Don't almost give", I feel like I want to cry for those people on there. I don't want people to suffer like that. I want everyone in the world to have a home to live in, a bed to sleep in, blankets to keep them warm during the harsh cold months, food to eat, clean water to drink, and anything else they need to survive and be happy, like some toys. When you think about it, what I want in this world the most is simply this: Peace and happiness FOR ALL.

You're right- Brilliant. Adds a challenge to the hack, if you ask me. Though, I dislike it. I missed the secret exit the hint in Adventure Hill mentioned (even though it was SO obvious where it was, despite being "well-hidden"), so I had to get Yoshi AGAIN. I SO abused Savestates at ol' Whispy Woods (nice job with the GFX, by the way), 'cause I kept getting hit by Apples and Gordos. XD By the way, do you ever plan on releasing that Wario Land Forest GFX? I haven't seen it in the ExGFX section of SMW Central, and I've been wanting every last GFX set from Wario Land (I even started to get the Stove Canyon tiles, but man, it's hard to draw tiles simply by looking at a Screenshot, so I forgot to finish. XD Are GB-ROM graphics uncompressed?). I'm not actually ASKING for your GFX, but I WOULD like to use those tiles in one of my hacks...

I'm currently about to enter a level in World 2 called
Spoiler (Level I'm at):Temple of Doom
. If there's one thing I've noticed, it's that you have bad names for levels. You took that one right out of an Indiana Jones movie! (I've never seen any of them, but

sticks out in my mind the most. I can't remember the rest, though. XD Still, you've got nice levels. They always make me make savestates before I enter pipes because I don't exactly like going into one-way paths and not being able to explore the rest of a level until I exit and re-enter... Oh well! That's just me.

That's a giant "Yes" to the Bowser sprite.
Spoiler (My reasoning to the "Yes"):Ever played "Super Mario in The Castle? Remember the boss? Beating the boss at the very end triggered the Princess Rescued sequence, BUT NOT the Credits. THAT is determined by the Castle Sequences. But remember that after you beat that boss, you got sent back to the map, where you opened "Hard Mode".


Why isn't Big Boo Boss counted as a sprite that can trigger the Castle End Sequences? Isn't the requirement for triggering those simply activating the Normal Exit of the level in question? Or is it the sprite itself that tells the game to activate that castle end sequence if it was defeated on the same level as a Castle End Sequence is set to?
