Does your shinespark stop at an incline? If so, you know there's a way to keep using it, right? If not, have you tried pressing down? And just so you know, THERE'S NO ITEM TO DECREASE THE TIME YOU MUST RUN TO START THE SPEED BOOSTER.

NOOOOOO!!! But the fact that I'm not the only person here who likes KDL3 makes it better. It's my favorite Kirby game... until I get Kirby Squeak Squad. XD I like your layout. (Too bad I don't know how to make one for myself. XD)

If you guys were to vote on me for something, what would it be? Come on, I can take it. It's not like I'm a little kid who hates being made fun of and cries when it happens. (I USED to be like that, but then again, weren't we all at one point in our lives?

Let me just put it this way:

You don't want to know.

In truth, I don't really know HOW I learned it- I just DID after I started up hacking SMW (which I can't stay away from)....

Cheap glitch for extra health. You know that, though.

Yeah, we all know about that, don't we? (Should ANY questions about layouts go in the layout thread thing in Modern Art?) You know, I once rented that game when I was a lot younger. I can't stay away from it once I begin playing it, because it's so much fun with all those puzzles. If you ask me, the only things that could make that game better are these:

-More Abilities, like Bomb (Man, that's a fun Ability!), Crash, and especially Hammer.
-More blocks for the extra Abilities.
-A LEVEL EDITOR.

We all like level editors, don't we? I wish I knew how to get the data from KDL3 so I can try making a level editor for it! XD

Say, if you don't mind me asking, WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THE POINT OF THIS THREAD? *goes to read first post*

Ummm... I hate to ask, but... HOW IN THE WORLD DO I MAKE A LAYOUT? XD I've been here a few months, and layouts are one of the few things that are really getting on my nerves... because I don't know where to start in making them. Any suggestions? (Like what program to use to make them, and stuff like that.)

You'd better give me credit for it if I do that. Besides, can't you wait until after you're done with what you need to do to get the GFX? All you need to do is get to World 7-1 in SMAS-SMB3, enter the first door, and make a savestate. Open that in YY-CHR, press + 19 times, and scroll down until you find the GFX. Copy and paste it into a GFX file from your hack, and you're done. (Unless you're not using SMB3 palettes- Then you have to recolor.) EASY AS PIE.

Umm... Has anyone fixed that problem with the Donut Block where it turns into another block if you jump off it before the Sprite falls away? I don't know what Map16 tile it is because it's one of those unused blocks after 0x200. Can anyone fix this? How do I fix it?

How would I go about modifying said jump routines to where the said block would prevent both jumps from happening? (I'm trying not to sound like a total n00b, by the way, so sorry if my wording creeps you out a bit.)

Try using ZSNES. It's more reliable, and sometimes, you'll see glitches in one emulator that you won't in another. One last thing- Bad things will happen if you try to play a hack that has a patch of the same name, but the hack itself has been modified past that of the patch... Like if you modified level GFX, it'll glitch in ZSNES unless you rename either the patch or the hack itself, move the patch or hack to seperate folders, or just get rid of the patch. Meh. Seriously, at least try ZSNES. It should work.

*needs to know how to login to change layout*

Yes, I know. It's a dumb question.

Boing! O2 was a hard boss. I liked it. The old games actually introduced the well-known Dark Matter. In fact, KDL3's story was centered around Dark Matter, something that KDL2 (the very first Kirby game to have Dark Matter) didn't do. In fact, I REALLY liked KDL3's King Dedede. Sure, the game had a look that looked like it was simply drawn on paper and turned into a game, but it brought so many familiar attacks for King Dedede that would one day be put into Kirby 64. Yes, all of King Dedede's attacks (as a boss, of course) from Kirby 64 were in Kirby's Dream Land 3! Yes, including the creepy eye and mouth in part 2 of the battle. In fact, you could say that the battle is EXACTLY the same as KDL3's Dedede Fight, only K64 was 3-D-ish. Yes, both fights had 2 phases. Yes, both fights had the same attacks. Yes, the EXACT SAME THINGS HAPPEN IN BOTH GAMES! He looks weirder in K64, though.

Well, according to this readme included with mikeyk's pipes... (And ignore the "Posted By" part- I think it's easier for me to put it in a quote...)

FuSoYa.

Yeah. His website says he included FuSoYa's SPVertical patch which allows sprites to react to custom blocks in vertical levels. Since it does seem to modify custom blocks, mybe it IS the problem, but I can't change it- I need it (And when I first tried it when I first got into ROM hacking, I thought it enabled the SMB3 pipes for vertical levels. XD).

I didn't get any inspiration from anyone for this. Plus, I'm doing something I have yet to see in a hack- A RAINBOW ROAD LEVEL. Yes, one of my worlds will be Rainbow Road! It'll have my own custom GFX, which I just started last night. I'll try darkening the color of the pipes, but I want them to look silver, not gray, which is what'll happen if I darken the colors too much.... Now, I won't mess with the colors of the BG for the outside areas, but for the inside, I agree, it DOES look too light.... XD THAT can be made darker, but I think that the colors for the outside of the pipes looks fine. Oh, if anyone can find me an ExGFX files containing YI Pipe Foreground tiles, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me use them. I've been looking for them for a long time, and I think they look great as a pipe interior than what I currently have... Meh. I have new plans for Part 3 of Silver Pipeline 1, but I won't reveal them yet... Oh yeah, by the way, I'll show you guys some screenshots of my Rainbow Road tiles to see which style you like better. I want to use the style that looks the best, so only the best will do.

Edit: As promised, here's the tiles all arranged in a certain way. Please note that each of the 4 rows is a different set of tiles. Alos note that all 8 colors I used (Yes, EIGHT) cycle. I love it. It's why I had to use EIGHT colors instead of 6 or 7. (Though now that I think about it, a rainbow actually has every single color imaginable in it... )

Do you like (these go in order from top to bottom):

-The Long Ribbon setup?
-The Blocky setup?
-The "Pixelated" setup?
-The "Bar" setup?

Please note that no matter what choice you choose, they're ALL going to have those fun pieces that have 2 colors blend together! Those are seen between each color on the top strand of colors, and the second strand is only those pieces. So pick whichever one you like best. But know this- I HAVE NOT MADE ANY WALL PIECES OR SLOPE PIECES. I'll make those after you choose your selection.

I agree. Though, he was a bit harder than the Nightmare from Kirby's Adventure... THAT was the EASIEST KIRBY BOSS EVER! I usually don't get hit much when I battle him! His attacks were way too easy to avoid, and you had a TON of chances to hit him! I liked it better in Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, where you knew you were going to lose at least one life just trying to get through a single phase! (Too bad the game was so easy, I beat it the exact same day I got it. XD) The only thing I like about Marx is the expression on his face. That dimwitted look... Priceless. That, and the boss music is WAY cool, though not as cool as The Arena.

I already told you that no matter what choice you choose, they're ALL going to connect like the first two do. I only did that because it was easier for me to do it that way.

So, I guess I'll stick with number 1 then... Now all I have to do is find a way to make turning corners... XD

Of course I'll add those cool things like stars and the like. Just one thing- What's a cornet?

About the Castle... Well, I guess I can move the castle to the main overworld. THEN it'd look right. But I don't want to make the castle look like a pipe. Why would you do that?

Thanks for the comments. You know, if you were to play that level, you'd notice that the colors look like they're moving from right to left. It's supposed to look like they're going from left to right. XD
