insectduel, I think I can speak on behalf of everyone when I say we don't care please, pleeeease, don't plug your website in my forum, or any forum, its bad character and the board has a strict rule against advertising in anything other than your signature or profile. Don't do it again.

Edit: removed the ROM link too....uhm, don't do that either, okay? .-.

That's the whole ordeal here. All the Nintendo fanboys will buy this console because they're, well, fanboys. But Nintendo needs to make some revenue here, or they'll go bust. They're currently only making money from the Gameboy/DS series. This console really needs to hit home with a wider audience, or Nintendo might pull a Sega and stop making consoles altogether.

This is a broken argument though. I know some of the hardest core fanboys who hate the name, but are still buying it because of what a good system it could very well be. Nintendo is never going to pull a Sega, and by reading your past posts in the other thread, YOU appear to be the fanboy here. I am not trying to start trouble, I am not trying to be a fanGIRL (and if you call me that, I will kill you, I own more games and consoles than you probably ever will and many NOT Nintendo), but after reading your posts I can only be quiet for so long because it REALLY bugs me when people say that sort of thing.

Do you even have a way to back this up? You just assume that Nintendo is going to flop like Sega. Look at the over-all picture. Nintendo continues to be a giant in Japan. If American gamers aren't mature enough to purchase a console because they don't like the name, it isn't going to harm them, -at all-. They will sell in Japan and most of their money comes from there. It is because of this they are no where near in danger of becoming like Sega. So what the hell? Don't say things you don't know anything about, you'll get people upset.

Well first of all I can't believe I said half of that, see what insomnia does to you? (and now I'm making excuses but I guess I have none..) There might have been a time when people thought this about Sega, but when it actualy did happen I was not very surprised at all. Nintendo is no where near a stage where I wouldn't be surprised if they did that. I'm not a fangirl, so to be fair, I'll happily state that I don't see any of the 3 competing companies (Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft) pulling a Sega any time soon. I was just wondering how he even came up with the logic when Nintendo hardware is one of the top selling game-related merchandise in Japan right now. It just puzzled me

Edit: and to say my stance on all of this Wii business, I do not care. It will not make me enjoy the games any less, it will not make me enjoy the console any less, and since when was something bad just because it was different?

I'm going to sticky this. They have something like this in SMW hacking, and I hope maybe this will help lower the amount of repeated and unnecessary requests that keep poppin up here. To those contributing, you might want to take a page from here, to see how they went about it. Thanks you guys Hope you can provide us with some good information!

I'm un-stickying this since it's been almost two months since it saw activity and we are a little tight as far as sticky-space goes. If you want to put it back Kawa, I suppose that's okay too. Sorry if you still needed this.

but who cares what its called, if they set themselves up to be made fun of, etc? If I had any say in the company I'd motion to rename the console Doodookaka 64. The games would be exactly of the same and it is not like you hear of titles such as "Mario Wii". And even if they did, it would only be your loss if you did not play it because of the name. I don't see what the fuss is--okay so you like revolution better. They didn't say they changed the system, just what its called. Ever heard of don't judge a book by its cover? Don't judge a console by its name

I had cold-water lobster tail with a crab tempura. Very delicious and I know some very good tempura recepies (plus I've been trying to cook with shelfish more lately...), so if you're looking for one just let me know

Well...I have the unit, and I'm trying to find how to interact with it. . .if I can get function, I would love to see if the American model SNES is capable of running it. Does anyone have any technical specifications or documentation on the unit that I could look over? It would be a very big help

That's dumb though...any tile editor like Tile Layer Pro. will edit the icon graphics plain and simple. I don't see why people would need to be extra lazy and have a program that inserts it for them...it does not take a lot of effort just to look through the ROM for the right graphics you know..

That sounds like it is just information on any given peice of software transmitted over the unit, not much help to someone trying to work the unit themself unless they were sending software to it (which I cannot). I think reviving it is sort of impractical, anyway. . . not many people outside of Japan (and at this point not many people IN Japan) are going to have the unit, and you would be better off emulating a similar function rather than designing something very difficult that is never going to see its full useages potential.

My only reason for fooling with the BSX was the prospect of loading custom software on a host unit. I've sort of given up hope/interest on it but at this point that sounds like the only practical use for it..

Okay no...the reason the DD software has not been dumped, if it even hasn't (I'm actualy just a little bit surprised...) is/would be because no one specifically designed a software dumping hardware for the unit. That makes sense because its obscurity and lack of over-all popularity. It is because of this that interest for it most likely never arose in the first place.
