OOC: Another challenge from me; I thought I'd go ahead since I can track more stuff via the IRC room now. Feel free to intro into the battle what manner you wish, though I'm only gonna fight one person in this topic.

It was a brisk Fall evening when a man wearing a strange suit of armor appeared in the middle of a forest. He had nothing much in mind, except the usual: interdimensional combat. He took out and loaded his favorite gun, a former Soviet pistol enhanced to fire lasers instead of bullets. He also glanced about. All around were tall, leafy trees, perfect with which to enhance the general combat.

He stood about 7 feet tall, and weighed quite a bit; underneath the suit he was mostly human, although he lost his legs and one hand in a grisly fight. Now replaced with mechanical versions that were a part of his suit, he apparently had become a fan of fighting random beings for the experience, when he wasn't off saving his own world... well.. managing the saving of his own world.

He walked for a little bit before encountering someone, or soemthing, in the shadows... was it his imagination? Maybe. Taking out his pistol, he faced it.

"I know there's somebody out there who wishes to fight me... but who will it be?"

I think you can have nearly any letter for a drive letter; however it is generally in order of how they are predicted to be used to boot up the computer. I think. If not that, in priority... or it could just be random. You never know.

* The armored cyborg saw the eyes, the armor, and smirked, something only somewhat seen through his visor. *

"Hm, I see here, it looks like somebody wants to be just like me. Well, I can fix that."

* He took the gun, and fired three laser shots in quick succession; one in front and to the left of Forte's feet, one at his strange gem at the center of his chest, and finally one at a tree right behind him. The shots created small explosions; large enough, in this case, to cut down the young tree behind Forte and send it careening at him. Metal Man himself snapped the fingers of his left hand, causing his suit to levitate one inch off the ground. For what reason? Mobility. *

"Catch me... if you can!"

* He strafed back a little, and then began weaving circular counterclockwise paths around wherever he saw Forte to be, firing off potshots with his pistol. He knew a counterattack would come... and waited eagerly for the moment of truth. *

Xbox 360: I've already given Microsoft enough money. I care about games, though; and guess what? Many of the games for this console appear to also be... on the PC. Hm... and I have a good PC... well. Technically I 'have' a Microsoft 'console', but it's a PC. Anything not on there hopefully would be released for another console.

PS3: I thought, seriously, about buying it. I mean, I never had a PS2, and wanted to play Sonic Next without buying a console entirely for that game alone. Then the whole Sony stuff attacks me... jeh. I'm sorry, but I can't afford it; maybe when it comes down into my price range.

Wii: Buying by default, having been with Nintendo consoles about since Sega really fell apart in the hardware area. However I am not entirely enthusiastic about it; I'm wondering what sort of damage repetitive swinging motions can do to the arm, and of course there's a question of how long it will last (see: My melted Gamecube). It should be good, but I wouldn't call it the holy grail for this generation.

I'm generally jaded, when it comes to consoles. I want the games; who cares what they're on, as long as you can afford them?

Ewww. Why would I want to suck on a circular piece of dusty plastic?

...A bit more on topic, horrible puns aside, I find some things silly here. The first is that the circular D-pad is only as good as the stuff underneath it. IF it's made outta something cheap, it'll fall apart and not be accurate. If it's well-designed, it'll rock.

Second thing, that's an Analog Stick you're talking about, NintendoFB. Even worse, the N64 controller has a cross-shaped D-pad, so it doesn't.. exactly... count either.

As for the circular shaped ones I've seen, my Sega Genesis has a good one (I have yet to fly to my death because of it in the games I've played there), whereas my first-gen Saturn controller is sloppy and ineffective. There's probably more cases out there, too... so you can't exactly call every circular d-pad bad at once.

* He saw the homing bolts and shrugged. *

"And you call that an attack? Watch this!"

* He would suddenly glide around Forte, away from the electromagnetic energy shots... and then around him, so that he would keep Forte in the way of the shots. In fact, he was trying to make them crash into Forte instead! In the process, a single of the Popcorn Demon missiles hit him... scorching him a little, but not stopping him. He shot the second of the three down, and dramatically grabbed the third out of the air. *

"A nice try, but you'll have to be faster to stop me!"

* He took the missile, and electrified it with his hand, EMPing it, before then biting the warhead trigger off the top of it and throwing the remains at Forte... those remains now being energized with weird purple energy and ready to explode in a bigger way than it originally could. If the electromagnetic missiles hadn't hit Forte or died yet, he'd take the remaining time to shoot at them and continue to move so that Forte would be in the way of them. *

Eh, I can't see it happening any time soon. Most people prefer to register en masse and post garbage... hijacked accounts, I think, are a rarity.

* The cyborg deflected the black bolt of energy with his right arm, taking some damage in the process. He then faced the dark navi, rubbing his chin. *

"What one says as an insult to another usually indicates inner feelings that the insult applies to them instead of their target."

* He then smirked crazily and flew upwards, about 10 feet, before then pulling out a box from his back. He revealed the contents, which were... little sticks of C-4? *

"I think you're going to like this."

* He then dropped them all, all 20 sticks, at the dark navi, setting them to carpet-bomb an area of about 15 feet diameter with the sticks themselves, which would simultaneously explode 5 feet above the ground, creating an explosion eventually around 25 feet in diameter. Of course, nothing was set in stone; so Metal himself landed in a tree and took pot shots at the dark Navi again, expecting that charged thing to be heading at him in the near future. *

Eh. It's an oversight caused by the laws made to protect children from being forced into labor. But, in this case, I feel it's on the right side of overseeing--like some other laws about voting and such.

"Copycat!"

* He flew around the banzai beetles erratically, but got blasted by them, setting him up for the golden right. However, Metal didn't let it back off after punching him. He grabbed the fist and EMP'd it with his close-range electricity, temporarily stunning it, before then bashing it violently against a tree, and then jamming one of his hidden knee grenades into it before hurling it at the navi's head. *

"Punch me in the gut, will yeh? Let's see how much you miss your glowing right fist!"

*He then continued circling his opponent.*

There is no one "magic topic" which is controversial universally. Furthermore, people can have HUGE controversies about something absolutely ridiculous. Therefore, your original idea has good intentions... but falls flat. I can't really vote on it.

Not so. There's been at least one case of former heroin addicts experiencing severe and terrible pain, and the injection not working on them either. The pain involved probably being extremely horrible.

One cannot quite gloss over execution methods, but, considering the probability that who kills Hussein will also be killed, they should try a firing squad. Then they couldn't tell who fired the deadly shot.

I have way too many stuff folders, spread across many old computers. IT's nasty. I need to stop making them, because they do nothing but serve as dumping grounds for everything I download.

I remember fighting with my classmates in first grade to play it on the ancient Apple IIe. Crazy, that was... we had the original system and all.

Later on, I got Oregon Trail 2 and made a 99-horse pulled wagon. It moved waaay too fast. Silly game.
