Please do not forget that the prices for Europe contain VAT and other stuff.

We Swiss people gonna pay CHF 898.90 for it (About USD 722.17) (As if I would buy one).

I downloaded Solder Blade, and as soon as I have more Points, Mario Kart 64 is mine too.

I personally think that the board may drop that low, but I have no idea when. It seems that a lot of chatting via IRC is done lately though, and the board is being used less.


Of course that happens when I find time to post at the boards and I ignore IRC.

Peardian, you should stick your text in a table or a div or something, so it floats over the background.

Else it just uses too too much vertical space.

"Oh My! Clichés", Kasumi said.

After exploiting the first Clichés of Fanfiction, reducing characters to catch lines, or, like in Ranma 1/2, to the persona at the end of the series.

I would like to come to something completely different.

There are some authors, which can pull those clichés of. Be it a crossover or just a self insert (I did once a SI too.. I'm not too fond of it now, but I created an original character, now It just needs a believable background). Anyone ever read someones worse days? I do not remember the author, but it was basically a self insert where God screwed with the author (It's a parody, go figure).

A good fanfiction, or story, is where the characters get alive and the story just evolves, as in written by itself, instead of an author (would be good if it where so all the time, much more good fanfiction, but than we all had too too less time, no?).

But the worst onces are: "Tis is my 1st fic, pls rr", or like Ozzallos has a nice guide in his profile about summaries, plot devices and grammar (And there are still authors out there, which can't even write the characters Names correctly all the time).

Yeah, some people miss this when they do price compersations.

Though still, even at the american price with no tax... it's too much for such garbage. It might be a powerful console, but I don't trust the durability of it. And then we have all the stupid stuff Sony does...


I may say that a little different.

Prices for European Countries state, what you, the consumer, flat out pay.

Prices for NTSC-enabled Countries state, what you could pay, if there wouldn't be more taxes.

On a side note, here in Switzerland, we have a Vorgezogene Recycling Gebühr für Elektrogeräte, loosely translates as a prepaid recycling fee for electronic devices. So if it brakes or you just want to get rid of it, you can do it free at any store which sales electronic goods (in that size, that is). And no, it was included in the listed price of CHF 398.- for my Wii (about USD 317.50).
