Thanks to alot of you guys, I'm ready to do some ASM hacks. First I'm making a copy of the Mario3 ROM I'm editing for experimental purposes. I'm going to get a good amount of data I can get. So if you guys are interested, I need some ideas on what the levels should have that's not in the original game.

your hack's name is really over used, you should try something original that matches with your hack's storyline
and yeah, you should post screenshots always, otherwise nobody would want to download it...

Ok I will but first I need help. I made the Dungeon of World 1 exactly like SMB 1's World 2-4, (Well, almost.) How do I change the Hammer Bros music in it to where it'll have the castle music from SMB 1?

I thought SMB4 was the name of super mario world 4 in japan. I remember seeing posters of the japanese version calling it SMB4.

I believe SMB4 was the beta name for SMW, I renember someone(BMF?) who have found the text in the ROM

What do I have to do to implement these things into my game?
Poison Mushroom
Master Hand
Crazy Hand
Dark Mind
Do I have to make them as chr files and look at their codes or what?

the chr file is only the graphic, just learn ASM and program them

This is weird. When the timer ran out, I didn't die. Why is that? How can I fix it? BTW, I was trying to change the Dungeon music with FCEUXD's Hex editor while I was in World 1's Dungeon.

I would stop messing around in a hex editor until you actually know what you are doing/changing.

How do I get the thunder and Lightning effects on certain levels? I know the offset of the Flash Timer in the RAM but I want it to be in certain levels. So how do I do that?

Hmm I guess the Debug Mode was causing that. Anyway, how do I make custom ASM routines? JaSp told me to ask some technical questions that I may need help with....So how do I make custom ASM Routines?
