Those look freaking awesome! * Shoots himself because he can't wait for the demo * That frassy background looks reakky cool, the only thing I can notice which doesn't look natural is the Legend of Zelda overworld, compared to the mario sprites the palette is to dark.

I am just a bit confused. What is up with all of the different types of goombas?

Well... Even with that, it looks pretty cool.

Wow, I enjoyed what I've played of Panic in the Mushroom Kingdom so far (the demo with the goomba and fireflower on the title screen. Doesn't look anything like this, not to say what I played wasn't good... :o)

Can't wait for this one.

EDIT:

Also, does the flat ghost enemy in this screenshot vvv

Actually work? because I don't remember seeing an enemy like that in SMW. :\

Hmm, this is a must play. It seems you've taken the hammer bro hack and changed the sprite's clipping.

If those screens are fake, I will lift you by your rib cage and crunch your face off.

Strikes me that if you really wanted to, you could make one of those from animated hurt blocks... But we'll have to see how he did it.

Looks cool, especially the first 10 level screenshots. And, on a similar note... is that last tileset from Quackshot? It looks so familiar to me, and that seems like it...

Looks very good! The only thing I dislike is some of the foreground graphics, specifically the one in the third screenshot. It just looks too...blocky, so to speak.

it's a custom block that tells sprite xy (mega mole in this case) to throw hammers, i don't need to edit the sprite itself

Wow GJ.

I was wondering.. Remember PITMK? Well, it was a GREAT hack.. but I have a younger brother and I'd definately not want him to find the little "XXX" secret that you put in there.. Is there a version where this is removed? Seriously, it would be nice to get a version WITHOUT the XXX secrets..

luisv, you could always use RLM to unlock the hack and remove the little xxx yourself, if it worries you that much.

it looks good. I like the GFX. I also like the custom sprites.

However, I have one question:

What game did this BG Come from, I think that is a really good BG:

Excellent job as always, GY! This looks to be your best graphical work to date, since I'm not seeing only SMAS rips here. The levels are very colorful and vibrant and make me want to play very badly . I trust you will have well-designed, reasonable levels as well.

You know it rather annoys me when people say things have awesome graphics when they're nothing but rips. It's like, "You're a good thief." Says nothing useful at all. It's especially annoying when the graphics aren't being used right... In most of these, there are some awkward visual contrasts. For example,

The foreground and background are drawn in separate visual styles when they shouldn't be, and as a result contrast each other poorly. The cement blocks in particular look completely off, as they're of a different style than the foreground, too, and use heavy colors that draw the eyes to them in an annoying fashion.Furthermore, the background is being viewed at an angle separate from the foreground, and as a result it is disorienting to look at, making the foreground appear slanted backward.

There's a lot more comments I could make along this line, but it would be kind of pointless to do so since it'd be repetitive and most of them can be inferred from the previous line of logic anyway. Really, level design is the most important thing and you can't really judge that from screenshots... It would just be nice if you applied more of your skill to creating synergy in graphics.
