After quite some experience with glitched events and some experiments, I belive that it's not an emulator problem, but a glitch in the overworld's (or FuSoYa's) ASM code.

By the way... Have anyone got a flash cart? If so, please try to play such hacks on a real SNES and see if the glitches appear there.

This may not mean much, but I did encounter the glitch while playing it on my Xbox. I was making heavy use of the speed up key there, as well.

Argh. This overworld stuff is taking way too long. I should be designing levels...

You guys have made me draw new overworld tiles again... I am not happy about this.

Seriously, you guys have no idea just how much I loathe drawing overworld tiles. I don't even have any tile editing programs; I do it in LM. And screwing around with the Super GFX bypass to load up 1C and 1D, and then going in and editing, drawing, saving, importing... It's all so very dull.

I typically do the same, actually. I have one level that I use for this purpose that is permanently set to use 1C and 1D, just to make it a little easier. Getting the updated palettes imported takes more work than it should, though.

Heh. It's more convenient than downloading a program I should probably get around to making a level with that stuff, though. That's a good idea.

Could I get a comment on how the overworld looks, though?

It's looking much better, IMO. If I were you, I would try to vary the length of the squiggles a little more than you have. Or make the individual squiggles longer, if that makes any sense at all.

Nice. 2 more itsy bits probs.

1) one of the parts of the big hill on the isle above castle 4 is missing (im sure you fixed it by now, but maybe not.)

2) the parts of your OW where the squiggly lines are where a ladder would soon appear will be 'overlayed'. Keep the lines straight along the outside of these points.
(below the yellow switch palace and below castle 3)

Actually, Z, I've made custom event tiles to go over those to prevent it from being a problem.

... But they looked ugly, so I changed things around so it's a moot point anyway.

Updating the information in this thread, I'm succeeding quite well on the level a day schedule. I made Aquaria 1 on thursday, and Aquaria 2 on friday, and Aquaria 4, the Green Switch Palace, and the Dark Cemetary submap today. I haven't slept, therefore the day has not yet changed and therefore Aquaria 4 is fair game to be included in this list. I've also got the initial concepting done for Secret 4, but... There have been snags. It's not worked out quite as well as I had hoped... I'll likely scrap the entire idea and go with a more traditional level.

Regardless, things thus far are going well.

Sounds like you're moving along at a very fast speed. I don't think I could ever match that rate of moving forward.

Such things happen when you get out of doing these things for many months. New ideas stockpile in one's brain. I expect I'll slow down once I finish this world.

Hopefully it doesn't look too terrible.

Forget what I said about a level a day, though. I'm definitely not going to finish Mysterious Castle 4 tomorrow (Today for most of you). I won't be at the comp nearly enough. I have a bunch of ideas on what to do for it, though. Mario Legacy had some good concepts for it I can rip off.

All levels up until that in this world are done, though.

Apparently I lied.

I just need to get Dark Cemetary done which could take awhile, and Sukasa needs to get in touch so I can send him graphics and he can send back a decent title screen hack name thing.

just as long as we're on the subject.
