What if....Super metroid was in black and white?
I had this idea in my mind for some time.

So here you go the latest in pallet changing.

SUPER METROID: BLACK and WHITE

Well to be honest it is not done yet. But I feel that some people might want to see this.

SS:

(Last two pick is not normal.)
So any feed back is nice to haw. that's all for now. I will try to keep this up to date.

That's pretty interesting Green-Kirby.

One question though, how are you going to be able to tell whether a door requires a power bomb, super missiles, missiles, or any weapon to open them?

I'd say that black and white hack is utterly useless, especially since ZSNES has a "grayscale mode".

Just for fun, here's a comparison of some new sprites and the enemies that they replace the CV hack.

Dr. Mario, I've been waiting to see these in action for a long time. Not sure if I want to go the extra mile to give them more than two frames of animation. They look like they'll pull through very well.

As for the black and white Metroid, I find it more trouble than it's worth. I could just turn the color function off my TV or PC screen if I desired that effect.

To be honest I did not know Zsnes had this function. But there is still people who won't use Zsnes. And people who don't know this function (like me)

And I'm bored right now any way

I picked a new easier to read font and added some more text to the title screen.

**EDIT**
Oh, and I'd like a little feedback on this screen (Spoiler warning: This screen contains a shot of the ending of the game)

Wow, that's a neat idea, but what did you do about the whole inhaling/copy thing? Did you do some kind of ASM hacks? Does Mario inhale enemies now? xD;

God, this was a bitch to get working. These screenshots show off the following:
--Successful decompression, replacement, and recompression of text
--Implementation of two more forms of text encoding for space considerations (16-bit data reduced to 8-bit data, implementation of DTE to the text routine)
--The successful forcing of the game into its 8x16 font routine over its 16x16 font routine
--The successful relocation of the VRAM font-tile transfer table to the nether depths of ram (the table in its previous location could only accept 36-ish characters.)

(The game, incidentally, is Ys 5.)

Either 1. Mario's whole body will inflate much like the effect of the P-balloon from SMW.
or 2. Only Mario's head will inflate or fill with the opponent.

I know... it is going to look pretty wacky. ^w^

Yeah, it's pretty brutal. I had to keep dumbing down his difficulty. Ideally, you want to take out the fireballs rather than dodge them.
