That's a damn sexy hack, Hapi-San. You are going to change the level layouts for each future, though? And you will add in other elements to each place to make it even more diverse (rather than just palette changes)? For example, you do plan to add in pipes in both futures and have different backgrounds, right?

How would changing level layouts for the futures work? Unless time travel worked very different than Sonic CD, you'd tend to get stuck in walls whenever you warped.

In Sonic CD, there were actual changes to the layout beyond art and palette, just very minute changes. I do intend to follow this eventually, yes. But, right now, I want to get everything on the side of programming sorted out before I work on layouts or artwork.

This isn't very significant to many but:

Those are background tiles in a water... Any decent SMB3 hacker should know what happens by putting things in bushes and clouds in water does, but I created a hack around this hehe.

Better? or worse?

BTW i got a better idea iminvisible, baybe I could take the first color(alpha earase color) and change it to the brown tan color. Or is this even possible and would it mess up anything?(like make the pixel around wolverine brown as well)

Also i'm taking speciel notice of the shift in lighting in the area tiles more, i redid the level one BG to the light of the rest of the area.

I've been dealing with that first color in my hack also today. I found that, when I changed that color to blue , all the palletes also changed to blue as their first color. You might find that to be the same in Wolverine.

The first color of all the pallets are the same for the NES

[xx][aa][bb][cc][xx][dd][ee][ff][xx][gg][hh][ii][xx][jj][kk][ll]

the first xx gets copied to everyth 4th color in the palette, it's applied to the enemies also.

It's beacause it's an alpha invis. color needed for certain things. probaly shouldn't mess with it.

I have an other solution, how about I recreate a health sprite from another xmen game, a burger is too qute anyway. Maybe from xmen 1 for gens, an x inside a circle.

Yes these are working Birdo's. No you cannot stomp and pick up their eggs. But 5 fireballs will kill them and they are NOT mini-bosses. These babies are regular enemies. BWAHAHAH!

Pretty nice. There will be fireflowers in parts where you'll need to kill them to pass, though, right? So you don't get stuck?

BOBTHEVILA, that's an...interesting concept for a hack.

You won't get stuck, they're not bosses. They won't leave anything behind, they just die.

Nice. Those'll be some sweet enemies, jsut like with sprite tool for SMW (that' not user-friendly, it should stay that way).

I'll also have screenies of a new level boss I'm making for SMW soon... of the boss in action (ar an exact replize thereof, it depends on whetherthere are many errors with the source code or not.
