I skipped ahead a bit and did the last boss fight level, it takes place at the top the clock tower.

That clock is brought to you thanks to Bit-Blade, and here's the inspiration for the level:

I just have to say that that is an AWESOME-looking clock. The rest looks good, yes, but... the clock just kinda catches the eye and says "LOOK AT ME! I'M COOL!"

Would you play it based on graphics alone?

I don't know about those tan outlines, but other than that it looks pretty kick ass. I'd play it. Then again, I'm pretty biased when it comes to zombies.

Sadly it's but a mockup :'(. The outlines are somewhat neccessary to make the sprites stand out, though.
[1] [2] for comparison.

As you can see, details get lost without it

I dunno, I might just be being stubborn but with the exception of the Status Bar up top, I think I like it without the outlines better. it just looks smoother IMO.

Images are broken, CronoFan, try a host like imagebucket or whatever else.

Dr. mario: I wont disagree it looks smother, but it also nulls the details, and in my eyes, cripples the image. In games with dark backgrounds and dark sprites, [see: gba castlevania games] sprites can get lost in motion without brightness to them. I could explain more but I'm just lazy.

Well poop you suck. My Star Luigi power-up worked similiar and it wouldn't have taken much to convert it into acting like a shell, but I'm glad to see someone beat me to the punch, hehe.

Okay, that's incredible. Looks VERY nice... better than most things I've seen for the NES.

The outer-most corners aren't drawn in (as in, it's black). Other then that, I like them.

Man, those are looking superb Pac-Man It's ok if they aren't action packed yet, they're still damn pleasing to the eye.

One suggestion though - for the fence tiles in the second screenshot, do you think you could make an end for them? The sides look cut off in the picture IMO....of course, if they were like that in SMAS, don't worry about it

Bio: That tileset is looking great - the moon! It's pretty cool how you use the level names where the roulette cards used to be too....good job.

I never realized I only uploaded one screen on 4-1 in my YI hack....so here's two more for everyone to drop their jaws at...
