Ok, I'll try to get the OW done by the end of tomorrow, I'm not promacing anything.

Truthfully, when i begin something, it gets kinda boring, and I lose track, yet when i start working on it again, I'm back into it like i just started...

Anywho, I'll finish what I can, when I can.

And when I said 'Everyone just make random levels' I ment no-one just make one specific level TYPE. if there is a whole world made by one author, it's kinda... erm... not sure how to put it...

Kinda makes us all look like we were to lazy to sort stuff out.

Just make levels for each world as you can. If Your btter at a specific type of world, you may make a few more levels fro said world. If you are every poor at making a type of world, try to avoid making that type.

It may have sounded like I ment 'Randomize everything' and I'm sorry for mis leading you.

Try to make your levels fresh, original and unique. but dont make them IMPOSABLY hard. make them a medium-hard difficulty. They shall be sorted out by difficulty and type.

And oh yes, HH, The levels that go to previous levels are:

Rough sea levels where mario gets lost easily and
A blizzard level

As for the two 'secret' Ice-water levels, I beleave they should be a 'lava-water' level where mario whould avoid the water at all costs. (maybe a dolphin ice water puzzle or 2)

world 5-5 is advised to be a 'blizerd level' wher mario must find the normal way out, but will keep on finding the secret way out.

Oh yah, sorry for making so many ice world levels... but its IS winter after all

just need to do:

world 6
world 7 events
world 8 events
world 9
world 10 (world '0')
special world (world 'X') events

A note to the level designers: do not make the secret exit a key. The player will know which way is which if the exits look different. Make it more challenging.

2. I've said it once, I'll say it again: keep all of the switch palaces in the extra submap. The story is that there's a sanctuary, so it holds all of the switch palaces; they aren't scattered. Plus, let me edit that extra submap when you're done with the rest.

Hmm... could you change the World 2 boss to Reznors and make Morton some other boss?
Also, I don't think you need three Reznor boss levels. Remember, you still have the Big Blue Boo. (Besides, I don't think Bullet Bills in boss levels are even possible without ASM hacking.) Perhaps you can make that Boo the boss of World 3, where the boss level is a ghost house at the end of the long bridge. So, technically, the boss order could be this:

w1: Iggy
w2: Reznors (Normal)
w3: Big Blue Boo
w4: Morton
w5: Lemmy
w6: Ludwig
w7: Roy
w8: Wendy
w9: Larry
w0: Bowser
wX: Reznors (Slippery)



Oh, and also, despite my critique on your progress, I want to say that you're doing a great job on the overworld, especially in such a short amount of time. If you ever want to take part doing overworld in my later hacks (supposing I do more), be my guest.

You can't just drop a bullet bill generator in a Red-gradient memory map level? I remember reading that you can't add OBJECTS to a red-gradient, but I think you can add sprites.

As far as I know, you can't. When it says, "CANNOT RENDER: This is a boss level!" it means, "CANNOT RENDER!" If you go to the sprites window on a Reznor level, you'll notice that none of the sprites are viewable. If you try making a sprite by right-clicking, nothing happens.
Besides, with the fact that bosses take gfx, it might not matter if you can add sprites or not. Chances are, the sprites you want to add share a few slots of gfx with the boss.
That said, I'm gonna get something to eat.

You can add a sprite to a boss level by going to the mario head icon, selscting the top bar thing to be '00: horozontal level' then place sprites and generators. change the level type back to horozontal boss level when ur done.

1. look at the castle signs. bridge area is world 3. thats 3-1 that goes north to the water level then over to 3-5. Your skiping 2 levels

2. Is bowser THAT stupid after getting his @$$ kicked my mario 200 trillion times? Guess not. very well, bowsers place shall be a 'lava' world. The switch sanctuary will be a 'dark' world (the central core of all the factories) So, a star lead to it and out of it while leading to a switch each after a dramatic level.

Oh, and to go more or less with the theme of the world, the bosses r revamped again :

w1: Iggy [obvious]
w2: Reznors (Under water)
w3: Roy [OWNZ DA BRIDGE]
w4: Lemmy [still hasnt figured out up from down]
w5: Resnor (slippery)
w6: Larry [always did look weird]
w7: Wendy [Pipes]
w8: Morton [always was light headed]
w9: Ludwig [The 'harder', more responsable of the 7]
w0: Bowser [uhhhh a-duhhhhhhh]
wX: Reznors (Bullet bill madness)

Now keep it this way plz.

Huh, you're right. Don't know why I never tried doing that.

Now, the reason I wanted Reznors in World 2 was because I was going to have the player race against a flow of lava from the previous level. Now that I think about, lava from the ocean is probably not going to flow into a castle.
Anyway, the order looks good. I suppose I can have the Blue Boo as a mid-boss somewhere. I want to get him in somehow, but we'll figure a way.

As for the switch sanctuary...

I personally think the inside of the sanctuary should be light blue. Sure, I know it's an odd intro for Bowser's submap, but hey, it's a sanctuary; it oughta look like one.

I ain't complaining; you're making good progress. Just be sure to get to that deadline, though. I got level editors waiting!

That would seem appropriate.

Also, I have an idea for the winter caves. Due to my logic from playing Pikmin 2, I would suppose that the caves would be warmer than outside. Perhaps we can add some exgfx for small patches of snow, and make the water not too cold to swim in.

Let me state that the circle one has a background auto-scroll sprite that must be activated by sprite C1 (the winged triple-block). Since it would look weird having the snow move still until you touch that sprite, I would suggest not putting in the auto-scroll and to simply make the snow animated.

Hi dudes. This is HyperHavik, now known as Shane -26-. I just wanted you to know that my name changed and I'm back on acmlm's after a brief absence. I was spending alot of time on another board but that board sucks now(the staff are friendly but kinda stupid). No big deal though. I'll be starting those levels soon by the way

EDIT: The level designer page has been updated just a bit. I still have to insert more names into the level plan section. Remember, you can make ANY type of level you want.
