Just had this idea in my mind..
Make up new enemies, which are logically possible to do, not anything like "Super Bowser: He's like Bowser but 10 times bigger and chases Mario anywhere he goes"
Well, this could be useful..

I'll start:

Improved Piranha Plant.
Replace the sprite of "Pipe Dwelling Lakitu" With a Piranha Plant, and change the ROM address which tells What Sprite Lakitu Throws (EC32) to a Bowser Statue Firebreath.Then Change the gfx of the Firebreath into a Fireball gfx. Done! Note: You might also want to change the address "What Sprite Lakitu Throws when Silver P is active" (EC36).

Ice Blargg
Well, It's probably stolen from a rom hack.. Maybe not.. Anyway, just a simple change to Blargg's Palette. Make it Light Blue, and put it in a watery level.

Flyin' Rex
Change a Red Winged Koopa's Graphics and Palette into Rexes. Edit with Super Mario World Reconfigurator, so that it dies instantly when jumped on. Also, could give you a feather, like Super Koopas..

Missile Mike
Change Fishbone's Graphic's and Palette to a Bullet Bill-type enemy, and put it in a ground level. Easy to do because Fishbone's tail is the only moving part in the sprite..

Hoopster
Change the Graphics and the Palette of a Vertically climbing Koopa into a Hoopster (From SMB2), And put it climbing into one of those vines!

Bah, I can't think of any more.. Tell me your ideas. These might come in handy.

Koopa the Quick
Change the speed of an auto-scrolling level so it matches the speed of Mega Mole (or vice-versa). Make Mega Mole so he can't hurt Mario. Use EXGFX for the graphics of Mega Mole to make it look like Koopa the Quick and put it in the previously mentioned Auto-Scrolling level. At the end of the level, place a two-spaced indent in the ground with two 3-up moons in it. Get there before Koopa the Quick does. Not the easiest thing to do, but I'm attempting to put it in my hack.

Boom Boom
Change a Chargin' Chuck's GFX to look like Boom Boom. Nothing special here...

Parabeetle

Change the code of an unused sprite in MWR to 90801D100090BE8C37CC (I use the sprite 12). The sprite will act like a Red horizontal flying koopa and it will use the pallete E. The parabeetle will use the GFX of the bomb, so you'll have to change the GFX of the Bob-omb. Want a bouncing parabeetle? Just change the Asm pointer of the new sprite to 8C4D.

Change the code for Magikoopa to where he shoots Bullet Bills, change the GFX for Magikoopa so he looks like he is holding a bazooka over his shoulder.

Change the Graphics for Volcano Lotus and It's spore ball thingys.

Missile Bill

In MWR, make a sprite that has Bullet Bill's GFX and acts like a Porcupuffer. Change the properties so Mario can stomp on it without harm and give the Bullet BIll GFX a slight red tint.

^ Wouldn't that make a torpedo bill?

One thing you can do with Rex is replace the 'big' graphic with Tall Guy (I think they were in Lakitu's Wall in Yoshi's Island), and the 'small' graphic with an ordinary Shy Guy.

Also, in a board-themed hack, you could change Goombas to smilies with feet.

You also have to change the clipping field to 0 so you can have a 16x16 instead of a 16x32.

Bombshell Bills are golden Bullet Bills from the Paper Mario series. They are basically a stronger version of them.
Missile Bills are the flashing Bullet Bills from SMB3 that home in on you.
Torpedo Bill doesn't exist, but Torpedo Ted does.

Change Lakitu's graphics and palette to look like Pidgit, and change the cloud's graphics and tilemap to look like a flying carpet. Disable the routine that makes him throw Spinies.

You can't change the cloud unless you know a crapload of asm. The clouds use separate circles that fall apart from the sprite. Would be nice to try however.

You know the dust cloud made by fireballs when they hit an enemy? The cloud is comprised of four of those. So you'd have to figure a way around that as well.
