Your not an idiot. Haha. Its just that SMB3 doesn't have Wario or Waluigi... Maybe your thinking of another Mario game? =P Snika |

Recently I discovered that my summer school teacher was friends with a guy who had helped design games such as Metal Gear and Dance Dance Revolution. I am assuming she meant that he was on the design team for these games, which brought me to several questions about these 'game designers.' I am wondering if these guys do any real programming. I mean, I think it'd be a really fun job if you could just think up games without having to strain your brain with programming the whole thing. I know how strainous programming is, so designing might be a good job if there is no programming. Another little red flag popped up in my head. Do these guys get paid good amounts? If I were one day to design a game for a big company like Nintendo or Microsoft, would I get paid enough to support myself and possibly family? Could I buy a big mansion in some remote beach in California? I am assuming they get paid enough to live. One other thing I was curious about is how much imput do these guys actually have in the game and what do they mostly do? I am assuming there is a lot of planning involved for the game, and designing of levels, and maybe even enemies. Please help me clear up my views about these game designers. I realize my ideas about this career may be naive, but I would be happy to get some clarification from you guys. =P Snika |

Thanks for the clarification you guys. I guess I never thought about the amount of detailed planning involved... Haha. I just had some thoughts left over from childhood about sketching little Marios and Goombas on a piece of paper and selling it to Nintendo for a million dollars. I think that game designing could possibly be a career I could find worth looking into. I better get cracking now and actually learn some decent programming lanuages. =P Snika |

Happy birthday! You will almost be able to drive without a licensed adult in the vehicle! Then comes the beer after that! Then at 32 you'll be caught drinking and driving without a licensed adult in the vehicle! =P Snika |

I have a bath/shower thingy. I really don't like it. I think showers and baths should be seperate so they can focus on comfort for each one. =P Snika |

I think its purdey neato. Consider changing the blue-banner to something that fits in the green-black color scheme. But all in all, way better than my first layout! (Lets just say some people lost their sense of seeing...) =P Snika |

Maybe convince him that you ARE a gangster. Start talking like one and grab the area inbetween your legs when you walk. When people call me stuff like 'gangster' or 'wigga,' I just play along with them. =P Snika |

Don't drive around with too many registered adults, because when you get your license they'll make you pay by having them drive their children and blind mothers around. I have yet to experience this, too. =P Snika |

I bought my DS and I use a PSP thats technically not mine... But whatever. I think you really need them both to have the full experience. The PSP is awsome for great graphics and console-esque games (like GTA). DS is cool for originality and simulation (like Nintendogs). =P Snika |

I have it. I couldn't ever really get into the Sonic games. I was always a Nintendo guy back in Sonic's glory days, and seeing a Collection disk of all those old games on the GameCube is kinda weird. I did like the Sonic Adventure 2 remake, though. =P Snika |

I hate the fact that tickets for two cost around $20 bucks. Then by the time you go around the food thing, you end up spending $20 more bucks... By that time your hoping to God that this movie is worth $40 bucks. I also hate running out of soda. =P Snika |

I guess the kinda shows like Reno 911 aren't meant to have a constant storyline. Its just meant to be funny. =P Snika |

Navigate to this link: http://www.cs.uu.nl/people/markov/gmaker/tutorials/platform.zip That is a .ZIP containing Game Maker examples and documents on how to make a sidescrolling game. Remember to start with the basic engine and worry about 'Mario-izing' it with sprites and scenery later! A good sidescroller is nothing if the gravity stinks! =P Snika |

Yeah, man. The best alternative to sprite sheets I can think of is Game Maker. It has great support for importing graphics. =P Snika |

Oh weird. I just linked to the file. Anyways, to get the link go to the Game Maker homepage and go to 'Tutorials.' A side scrolling thing will be there. =P Snika |
