The Internet is the graveyard of correct grammar and puncuation.
Thats why the current generation of kids can't write and/or spell worth a darn.
Good thing I was awake during those spelling tests.

Okay, we all know what sells today in operating systems and their equally expensive software:

Graphical User Interface

Or as the simpletons (and everyone else) calls it, GUI.
Its no secret what little Billy Gates has been doing. He's copied Windows 2000, smacked on some fancy graphics, and called it Windows XP. He is following the same example he set by copying Windows XP and adding ever more fancy graphics and calling it a new OS.

This is all well and good. Personally, I love eye candy. Thats one of the main reasons I considered buying OS X. Sure, the operating system was simple enough to be designed for a chimpanzee, but it sure looked pretty.

Anyways, I was pondering over the new 'revolutionary' Microsoft Office and Windows Vista and couldn't help but notice something...

Office looks really... Mac-like. Check out this:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/uioverview.mspx
Look at the larger views of some of the pics.

http://forevergeek.com/windows/windows_vista_beta_screenshots.php
Vista doesn't fail the pattern. Look closely at the second pic. Crazy blue folders? Ahh!!! Mac OS X Flashback!

I am not trying to discourage this act. I am glad inspiration between operating systems can be made. I just don't want Windows to become OS X.

Please, post your opinions on the matter of Windows GUI and its similarites and differences to Mac OS X. Also, just post about the new Windows GUI and tell me if you dig it. I do. I dig it like a gardner.

If anyone shot him, the bullets would probably just bounce off of his chest.

He's a big dude, and a lot of people wouldn't mess with him.
I mean, imagine getting arrested by Shaq. He's huge, and he's a celebrity.
Criminals couldn't resist getting arrested by him!

Eh... I think Smallhacker or someone linked me to the board a couple times and I figured that I mine as well join.
Its one of the best boards on the Internet because everyone actually speaks English and not netspeak.

Mine's Boring

I recently reinstalled Windows, so I haven't had a chance to theme it or anything. I think for the first couple days all my FireFox downloads were set to go to the Desktop, so I got a lotta junk on it already.

Nintendo decided to smoke pot one day, which happened to be the exact same time they designed Revolution's controller...
Compliements to Paraplayer for finding the link for me...

http://hardware.gamespot.com/Story-ST-23521-2567-x-x-x&tag=gs_gc_flashtop_read&body_pagenum=1

I'm sure you can all join me in saying "What the hell?"
The controller is physically moved to control the action on the screen,
and it also comes with an attachable analog stick.

I'm not sure if I should channel surf with this thing or to play Mario...

Colleen, you won't be limited to just white!
I know that the controllers come in like at least four different colors and the system comes in black or white.
It does resemble something Apple would make... And its ironic that they are involved with the PS3, not the Revolution.

Give it a chance before you judge the design.
My first reaction was "Yuck."
But I thought about it and it seems like it will rock.

I can see a Zelda game being made with this... you'd be doing sword slashing motions... and truly aim your arrows...

Though, I still see third party ports being shut out..

Yeah, third party ports will be pretty scarce until devolopers actually figure out how the controllers work.

Brain please.

You should use it.

There's a reason for this suggestion (about languages, not about you thinking before typing) to be made, and if you can't contribute to the topic at hand in a vaguely meaningful way, do not post. It's almost like you just read the topic and nothing else, and it's really getting on my nerves. Others have noticed this too, though not all of them are staff.

I apologize (to the other mods) for the fact that it may appear I'm overstepping my bounds, but someone had to say something.

Moving along from that...

Translating the FAQ could potentially be very beneficial, but we'd need people that could write it in each other language you wanted - and would be willing to actually sit down and do so. This seems like stating the obvious, but... the willingness to do so has to be there. A translator won't cut it (if it would, we wouldn't have to do anything), and a few classes in high school won't do it either.

Why complicate things if we can all speak English here?
Hmm? Thats using your brains.

Well... It has a handle and could be sorta carried like a purse.
Anyways, I think GameCube controllers will only work if you play the GameCube games or old ports.

When boredom strikes, I usually mop around in a depressed daze for a half-hour to an hour, then it suddenly hits me that I could be out renting movies or drinking soda... So I sit down and play video games. Hahaha.

Nintendo has always been daring. Between the e-Reader, Virtual Boy, and GameBoy Printer, they have lots of experience making financial looses. I think they have learned their lesson though, and this controller actually looks like a winner.

Whoa! Is it like set in stone that if a thread reaches up to four pages it escalates into a giant flame war?

Not everyone that likes the new controller is a fanboy.
Jeez! Good thing Yoshi Dude is around to smack you all into shape.

Anyways, anyone know the release date of the Revolution? Is it early 2006, or late 2006?
