Originally posted by Squash Monster I suppose you are right. Its just annoying that Nintendo would try and focus their attention to two handheld markets at once: The DS and the GBA line. Quite frankly, I think the DS line has been neglected this past year. The only game in the USA worth the buying would be Super Mario 64 DS. But, tommorow Nintendogs and Advance Wars DS come out, so I'll be looking forward to seeing if this redeems the DS. |

Both of these great titles come out tommorow, August 22nd, here in America! Anyone else planning to empty your wallets to buy both of these exciting new games? These will be the first two DS games I will have bought in a while. All the others that came out didn't seem worth the trouble or money. |

The 2-D Nintendo DS games are mostly the ones I don't wanna buy. I mean, sure they make great use of the touch screen and stuff, but its like a two-year old painting on one of Van Gough's canvases. Nintendo and other companys don't take advantage of the extraordinary system provided for them. We want 3-D! |

Here's what I'm trying to say... If the system can do 3-D, do it. I love the GBA 2-D games, because thats whats expected of the GBA. The DS is capable of 3-D worlds, the GBA is not. I love 2-D games, don't get me wrong. But there's a time and place for everything. Edit: Just read Colleen's message. I am very excited about The New Mario Bros, 'caz it combines elements of 3-D with 2-D sidescrolling. Was the first part sarcasm? Originally posted by Keitaro Haha, okay, my dectector has been fixed. Anyways, thats how I feel about things, Keitaro. I just think more 3D games should be made, so that a 2D game every once in a while is a fun surprise. The stereotype for handheld games is childish 2D games, but Nintendo (and the Sony PSP) could break that sterotype! |

Theres this really good book... Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. Its like an adventure/fantasy novel about this one guy who... Umm... Well its been a while sense I finshed the book. But its really great! Neil Gaiman is a good author, but sometimes he can be a pervert. Like in his other novels, the depictions of 'the act' were too much for me, so I had to stop reading. But Neverwhere isn't like those other books, so buy it right now! |

Originally posted by Colleen Yeah, Colleen is right. But there is a catch! You start off with like... 6 breeds or something in every version. But if you INTERACT with other players who have different versions (like play with their dog in the park or something), those breeds will become unlocked in your game. Luckily I know someone who is gonna get a different version than me, so I"ll have like 12 breeds! Woo-hoo! But the game has to come out first... |

Sweet! I got both my games from Wal-Mart (Yeah, I know. That place is evil.). Nintendogs is great! You guys should all buy it. The only problem I've noticed is the camera control can be a little wacko. I still haven't opened Advance Wars: Dual Strike. I think I'll save it for some entertainment tommorow. Any of you guys buy one of these games already? I wanna know if Advance Wars is any good. |

Originally posted by Xkeeper Wow! That's completely ridiculous if its true. I mean, if you spent $50 more dollars, you could get yourself a much more power system, the DS! And sense that is soon going to be lowered to $100... Well that'd render the Gameboy Micro useless!!! They should make it $50. |

Originally posted by Invader Pie Advance Wars is a turn-based war game series for the GBA, and recently, for the DS. Nintendogs isn't a Tamagotchi rip-off (PLEASE GOD NO!). Tamagotchi's weren't dogs... They were blobs that beeped when they took a dump. Definitly not Nintendogs. Nintendogs is a true puppy simulator. It focuses more on interaction with your dog and teaching it tricks, instead of Tamagotchi's [i['try to kill your pet blob as fast as you can so it won't beep anymore' goal. If you have a dog, you'd probably laugh at this dog simulation thing. But for guys like me who isn't allowed to have any, Nintendogs fills a small part of that giant void for non-dog owners. *Sniffs.* Still haven't opened Advance Wars yet... I really should but Nintendogs is keeping me occupied. |

Ahh, yes. Lets clear up some things about Alaska: Things that are true: -We live in houses, not igloos. -We are a part of the USA. -We are a state, not a territory. -It only snows in the winter and late fall. -In the more rural cities, people drink Listerine Mouth Wash for a cheap shot of alcohol. -Not all cities are villages. Things that aren't true: -We do not live in igloos. -We do not harvest wale to feed our village (except for people who live way up north.) -We live in cities, not villages. -We are not all eskimos. Hope that helped! (edited by Snika on 08-24-05 10:31 PM) (edited by Snika on 08-24-05 10:31 PM) |

Google's empire expands!!! I downloaded it when a friend told me 'boutit, and really didn't find it to be anything special. But, knowing Google, it'll be better than AIM, MSN, and Yahoo! IM combined!!! |
