was playing Auto Modelista a while ago and "EVIL" was too short to fit on the license plate, cuz you can put up to 5 letters on a license plate, but if you put only 4 letters, the text leaves a space at the end and your licence plate looks.. well... left-aligned-ish. so I added a dash after the E... so it would look like E-MAIL... but.. evil....

stupid.. i know.... now i use it on msgboards and Initial D.. yay

ah well.. I used to be known as Eliminator... a long long long long time ago. I think i still have my account at FFlegend.. the first message board i ever posted at.

hm.. interesting topic...

it in itself is not a bad thing i think.
but like all forms of entertainment and artwork it has its extremes which to some may be offending, and to others more than ok.

i can guarantee that more people than u think like many kinds of hentai that you've probably never heard of before, just like there are people who enjoy scat porn. If you don't know what that is, please do NOT look it up. all i can say is that "scat" means "sh*t".

well, if u can do C, and u can do VB, C++ aint all that different.
after learning like 6 or 7 programming languages in college i can safely say that they're mainly all the same.. and that alot of em are completely useless unless you're some kind of programming nut and feel it is important to know them all.

eh i like visual studio to compile it. i would deffinitely suggest "buying" it. I got mine for free from the school.. they give a free copy to comp. science students over here.. anyhow, visual studio is user friendly... and even if u hate user-friendly-ness. it always comes in handy in alot o situation.. and yeh u can do visual crap using MFC (microsoft foundation classes). good luck with image transparencies and stuff tho.. those'll give u headaches.. but you can do some nice stuff using direct 3d using MFC..

well, if you intend to someday make a career in programming, the language they mainly teach in colleges/universities (around here atleast) is Java.... at the moment... 2 years ago was c++... but when you go and code stuff for a company, they really dont care what language you use, as long as your program works perfectly. Unless they have specific specifications, or everything else they have is in C++.. then they'd rather you use C++.. but once you know one programming language, 2 - 3 weeks n u can learn a new one completely..

not that i want to or anything, i know enough already.. i'm tired of programming.!

I think there is no such thing. It's a boundary that's completely man-made. there isin't really such a thing as age, we just add the numbers depending on how many years we've been in existence.

For me i think there are people who "act" like kids, and people who "act" like adults. both are in a way capable of acting like the other, but for me a better person would be one capable of integrating the best side of both. I think you become an adult when you decide that you want to be like the people around you. you feel it is your obligation to act like them, and so you do, by fear of being rejected from the group, that is considering that the group in question is composed of other "adults" . thats why if a slighty older person is put in a group with alot of young people, he will tend over time to act a bit like them. I guess part of being an "adult" is also that you must never go back to being the kid, an so people remaind in the "adult" personality or.. atleast... most of them do...

in the end it's just an act.. like everything else...

Posted on 03-29-04 10:52 PM, in Human Evolution Question Link
well, i'd agree more with Stephen Jay Gould, who said that evolution can be explained, but not predicted.

Humans have hardly evolved at all, mostly due to the fact that we don't need to, we could evolve towards being more complex creatures, but we could also evolve towards less complex creatures. Most people think that humans are the most adapted and evolved creatures on thsi planet, but that's not really true. Bacteria are capable of living almost anywhere, they have divided into millions of types and are much better adapted than any other creature, not to mention that there are way more of them than there are of us. Capable of evolving and multiplying at an alarming rate, it is possible that in the future we won't be able to keep up with them, and lose the ongoing battle.

If humans do get a burst of evolution in the near future, I think they would only gain more defenses against the microscopic world. Already today we have various bacteria working with us inside our stomach to protect against bad bacteria. the real next step in Human evolution is robotics, which could eventually evolve in its own species with the invention of Artificial Intelligence, and then you quickly end up with a matrix-like scenario..

basicly, if we dont kill each other, or invent A.I. that would eventually get rid of us due to our obvious uselessness, the bacteria'll get us. But you never know.. evolution being unpredictable, many things could happen that no one ever even imagined.

Posted on 04-02-04 09:41 AM, in who you hate the most Link
hm. I can think of a perticular person that i really really HATE.
But my hate for this person is for my own personal reasons, and thus i cannot do anything about it. In fact doing something about it would potentially harm someone i want no harm to come to.

other than that, i don't really hate anyone else.. as others have said, dislike maybe, but not hate...

i have no problems against telling someone I hate them, as long as i can present facts to back it up. I guess the only people i really dislike are people who hate others simply because of what these other people do. Sometimes it's important to think what this other person is thinking psychologically. For me that includes everything, from prefered fashion style, to religious beliefs. I am thus able to understand why someone does something, and even accept that I myself would maybe do it given the same psychological setting.

sounds like me too... back when i was in high-school..

sometimes some people already have too many friends, and they're not really interested in making more. Unless you can prove that you're better than his/her other friends. So see it from other people's point of view.. If you had a bunch of friends, and some strange guy came along trying to be friends with you, what would make you add him to your circle of friends?

strangely enough, some people don't react to kindness.. cuz they've just had too much of it. instead, try finding something fun to do that this person would be interested in, give this person regular doses of this "fun", then suddenly stop for a short period of time. The more they want the "fun", the more fun it will be the next time around. It's all about being creative.. You gotta be persistent, but not annoying. Even though your intentions are good, sometimes people don't understand the message correctly, not everyone thinks the same way.

another solution would be to try to talk to people you think you would dislike. Many times the person on the outside is very different from the one inside. Or find some activity you can do where you can meet people with atleast one thing in common. Something at school is cetainly the best since you spend almost the entire week there. In college there are many clubs (and they're not all "we love school" types of clubs.. at my college there's an anime club and a few religious clubs and music clubs..) If you're not in college/University yet.. wait till you get there, if you pick a good place, meeting people will be inevitable.

High-school just sucks.. the people there are immature (although they still kinda are in college) and have no respect for anyone but themselves.

As for the boyfriend part well.. unfortunately, Nice guys finish last, BUT, the best is always saved for last. You'll wait longer, But you'll get the better end of the rope in the long run.

well.. "stop complaining" IS one of the best advice i ever got.
other people tend to like people who dont complain too much, cuz everyone can always think of a situation much worst..

But sometimes just to talk about something can elliminate the bad (or augment good) feeling a certain situation gives us. so we should sometimes complain, just not too much. And that the complaining part can have positive effects on the mind, reducing the risk of mental illnesses, thus making it a "serious topic". and the fact that it says "serious topics" is also basicly to tell other people not to reply anything bad or hurtful, so that the person creating the thread won't feel worst.

also the lack of "positive" serious topic threads could be an indication that alot of people have been having a really bad time. Or that people just don't feel like posting when good things happen cuz they're too busy being happy about it!

I just think if your way of dealing with problems is to ask people on the message boards, then I see no wrong to it, as long as I myself am able to do the same if i need to and that the readers will provide a well thought-out answer to whatever i'm saying..

-WARNING-

some girls are Excessively friendly!
sometimes it goes beyond most people's definition of "friendly".

It would be a really bad day if you found out she actually had a secret crush.. on some other guy !! It happens so many times, A friend of mine, who liked this girl, had a great time with her for almost 2 weeks, took her to see a movie, he even kissed her and she didnt say anything about it. Then suddenly, about a week after all that he sees her with this other guy, and she tells him it's her new bf, she met him 3 or 4 days ago, and she hopes he feels happy for her!!!

if you really really like her, and you know she's single, don't let her get away. Take it slow, test the waters, ask things like "what would you say if a guy like me would ask you out or something?". but don't take it TOO slow, and never set your hopes too high.
