Heh heh, blackhole... Pipe.. corpse? oh well..
Nice idea Atma, though i think your best bet is the OAM (of course, it'd be nice if blackhole would share the data instead of doing it himself! oh well, :-P)

I was hoping to find a standard 32k saveram generated by Project64, for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
I've found some, but they're either 64k, badly named, or "cheated".
I'd be hoping for something more along the lines of a character named Link, with everything complete.. Other SRAMs i've found had things like... The door of time not even open, but adult link beginning the game in ganon's tower, with no Spiritual Stones and no Temples Completed (But having all the medallions, oddly enough).
Yeah, i'm picky, but so what?
Thanks in advance, if any of you have one you'd be willing to share.

If you'd be willing to send the .SRA file (zipped, of course -- though 32K wouldn't hurt), my e-mail address is moth31 at hotmail dot com ... Use a subject that i'd be able to decipher so i don't delete it.. and if you send it, Thanks!

@neo: Hmm, too bad.

@HH: I did not know it used a save file.. maybe there's a byte in the header (of course, the header of the save file itself, not the whole SRAM ) that states if it's loadable or not... Moment, need to try something... Well, that didn't fly.. replacing 0x0140 with 0x0120 in the hex editor (global and selective), editing the saveram didn't work, nor did replacing every 0x00 with 0x01 (didn't expect that to work)... but.. Do you know or know anyone who knows about the SRAM format of OoT?

This is REALLY starting to bother me...
I can not get my status bar or address bar to stay visible in my folders -- They normally start without a status bar, and occasionally both of them disappear (same thing with the Status bar in IE)... I know the "Apply Folder Settings blah blah" button doesn't help that, it doesn't affect toolbar settings, and i've somewhat gotten around it using the "Don't remember folder settings" option.. like, turning it off, applying all settings, turning it back on, but it just gets very annoying.... anyone shed some light on my problem?

As for these memory locations, there were some that i should have saved, but didn't... i believe there were people posting information about sprites, etc.. but i did not have that saved.. so if you would please re-post this info, or make a dedicated thread for it.. i'd be grateful, and possibly other hackers would draw information from the data. Thanks.

Very interesting, HH..
Though my SRAM seems to be a bit different...
like, in the beginning (0x04 to 0x0B) it's
Z! ADLE (Of course, if 0x09 weren't conveniently the tab character)
..
Needless to say i've got me curious too..
Before a save file i have DLEZ (2 0x00s) ZA... Seems a bit backwards, but oh well...
Ehh, seems to be a bit dword-swapped... and backwards.. because
DLEZ 00ZA would be
00ZA DLEZ if you'd swap around the words and backwards that's ZELDAZ...
Does this have to do with the 1.0 Savestates.. or possibly my PJ64 Configuration.. heh?
Well, the names aren't stored in anything CLOSE to ASCII.. need a table file. :-P.. trial and error!
Err, more investigation.. I have 6 save files in my SRAM file... i don't know the use of the copies, maybe like an Allocation Table on a FAT/FAT32-formatted disk... A copy and a failsafe copy, but when they have random data (both different, i.e. saves 3 and 6 which are the same, it doesn't show up.. as a file)..
I don't even know what use that was..

Well, neo.. It says it doesn't apply toolbar settings, and i'm assuming that that includes status bars, but...
Next time it happens i should try that, because XKeeper's method worked (I seriously thought i tried it before!) this time... Thanks for the help..
Wouldn't it be nice to add your own panels to the Common Tasks sidebar? Hmm.. No more Windows 9x-Style Customize Folder dialog.. No default folder.htt in the Web folder in the windows root.. oh well.

I like the idea, though a proportional font for the C-prompt? eek..
Here, including a blinking cursor ( You need to make it blink, though.. )

Heh, oh well..
I love the idea, don't let it fail!

Posted on 06-14-04 09:29 AM, in what OS(s) are you running? Link
Used to use Debian 3.0 (Woody, and Unstable/Testing).. until i resized my unclean root partition.. plan on switching to Gentoo.
Use Windows XP Home, have Windows ME installed, and, if it worked (used to before i dropped this HD in a newer computer), DOS 7.1 with Mini Windows 98 and 3.1
Also use windows ME on VMWare.. heh
And something i'm coding (or was, before i wiped out my linux distro), CipherOS (heh).. not functional, i don't say i use it, but for all intents and purposes it's "Installed".

THANKS Neo!
Yes, HH, make a SRAM Editor.. and yeah, put that name table somewhere, :-P!
Good luck if you do make that editor!
[Edit] Byteswapped, I wonder why... heh, Neo's save is swapped too, works quite nicely. Thanks again Neo!

First off, it's not a "0x200 (byte header)" it's a "(0x200 byte) header"..
[Edit] Talking about the grouping there, sorry. [Un-Edit]
And.. if you can't handle the hex editing thing, unzip it and see where that gets you.. if that doesn't work, consult us again, otherwise, good luck!

Well, he's an adult, starting inside ganon's tower after you destroy the barriers,
No biggoron's sword, using red tunic, mirror shield, kokiri boots. Little magic, three out of fifteen hearts filled... master sword equipped... err, hoping that's what you wanted to know.
[Edit] Oh, and Double Defense.. :-P

And before you ask why it went 1.. 3.. TLC.. (Ha), Harken, I believe it became Demo World 3 because of the mainly SMB3 Music, isn't that a logical explanation?

Spirits in games? No.. Unless they're haunted.. Sprites.. S P R I T E S
Nobody knows how to add sprites, but we might or might not be close.
Use a palette greater than Three, and it MAY work.

Don't feel stupid.. common mistake.. Do you mean Spirits sounds better with the I sounding like the I in pie? oh well..
I wouldn't think that ASM'd be the only way, but you would use a hex editor...
I'm assuming that the level's Set to use a custom palette, right? (Well, actually, that wouldn't matter, seeing that even if you alter the shared one...). Hmm.. If you're editing the 8x8 Graphics, are you saving them with F9 and then Re-Inserting them?
[EDIT] Can't see the images.

Now, now...
1) Know ASM, of any type.. it'll help you, but it's better to know 65c816 ASM than Intel X86 when you're working with the SNES.. ;-)
2) Read the README!
3) If you're confused by then, you might as well give up..

[Edit] Nobody can say i was posting in a topic that was going to be 'closed', because he said to close it after someone replies.

Yes, there is one you can download. It's included in the blocktool ZIP file and it's called README.TXT ... You really should learn to read those before asking questions, along with Help files..
