well, I'd like to visit more archeological sites than anything. Number one being Machu Pichu in Peru(?). All of Greece and Rome. Petra (remember the end of the Last Crusade?).

Also, even though i have grown to dislike it on account of a certain teacher's constant glorification, I still wouldn't mind visiting New York City.

That's what Mario does. He punches things. Yoshi, Bricks, the Princess. Classic Man vs Environment. Throw in some fireballs and walking mushrooms and call it even.

I remember reading at one point, either in a coloring book or likewise, that boswer turned the mushroom people into various bricks and background trees. did anybody else ever hear that?

got me. but it said bowser used his black magic to turn the mushrooms into bricks and "horsehair plants". it was accompanied with a picture of bowser shooting energy from his hands at toad/toads.

I'm guessing the coloring book was not directly affilitated with Nintendo, thus taking a few ignorant liberties. But the artwork in the coloring book was identical to that of the early artwork for SMB.

I found an image of the cover, only mine was in english.

Also, Mushroom World seems to have about half the gravity of Earth.

Mario's jumping abilities are almost normal in DK. They get a little greater in MB. they become "super" in SMB. I guess what we might be able to pull from this is that DK happed in the real world. MB happened on the edge of the Mushroom world and the real world (explaining the appearance of koopa troopas and possible interdimensional pipe travel)

I still have to go with the original. I dont deem it to have the worst graphics because the only difference betwix the NES and SNES version is shading. Backgrounds are more intense in SMAS albeit.

The reason I go with the original is because, that is what it is, the original. They were the best thing going for the time, and i still think it looks good. I happen to like it's simple look and coloring. the raw colors of the 8-bit machine came together quite well in this game.

ya know, i sure wish nintendo would make a mario platformer with the same graphics. i think that is sorely needed! I love Paper mario's graphics so much, but hate rpg's soooo much more. well, FF1 is fun in a simplistic way and the LoZ is not an rpg in my opinion. but an rpg in my narrow minded view is any turn based game.

I almost voted for the old NES version because I like the "old school" feel of it, but when I got thinking about it I realized that All Stars had one major thing hanging over the original's head (besides graphics). You could actually save your game! So instead of warping from world 1 to world 8, I actually could play through the entire game from start to finish.

all right! i change my vote from the NES version to the SMAS version. Come to think of it, why didn't the original have a save feature? A feature Kirby's Adventure took into consideration. (I consider KA the "Second Comming" of SMB3 to the NES)

hello, i am going to quickly discuss my love/hate relationship with Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart Double Dash. I leave out all games in between because i haven't played them.

Both games are fun and rather addictive. Both games supply you with enough secrects to keep you playing and playing. Both games are kickass in the replay factor, especially with two (or more) players.

BUT...

Both games are lovelingly made to piss me off. They both are programmed to screw me over at the verge of victory. These are the only games in the world that send me into a tempertantrum and bang 2ltr coke bottles against the desk. I don't know what Nintendo's secret is, but their ability to mix pleasure and torture can only be matched in the pron industry of BDSM.

does anybody else have a game that is their personal bane?

update: I (or rather me and my friends) just beat special and all tour cup in mirror mode. bottom line: trophy car aint that great.

ghosts n goblins was so in the extreme of frustration that i cannot get frustrated over something i can not hope to beat.

upon reflection, I can name a few more games that are aggrevatingly fun such as most Megaman games (Gameboy versions, I'm looking at you), Galaga, and even the simplistic fury that is Pacman.
