alitnil reporting.

I never played MegaMan Legends 1. I did own MML2 and liked it alot. but to be honest I thought the storyline was way to weird. Even for capcom. And I really didn't understand much of the ending. But again, I dislike anime and that was to a degree anime. No offense to the anime-niacs out there. I just like the NES Megaman too much see it in any other light.

My favorite level (it's been a long time) was that open field level where you fought those hovering (flying? rolling?) machines.

Donkey kong. If you could call it playing. that damned joystick was not made for kids i tell you. so officially playing would be SMB1. and we could not get passed level 1-2's section where mario has to slide underneath the bricks.

yeah, wasn't he supposed to be gay during their SMB: supershow run? I mean wasn't he the one that made out with mouser all the time?

Not Daisy. Can't remember her name right now, but it wasn't Daisy or Peach.

My guess is that if we don't hear anything about it come E3, it'll be on Nintendo's next system.

And that concept pisses me off. Back in the good old days, we'd see Game sequels arrive in plenty of time before a new system comes out. But now the rush on technology is being pushed so hard that there is barely enough time to make a decent sequel on the same system. i'm sure that in some cases there are awesome sequels, but honestly, we only get 1 mario game per system nowadays, and they aren't all that great.

And at this point, i don't feel that graphics are going to get all that much better to make me want to purchase a new system every three months. All that should matter ( and all that used to matter) is gameplay. Graphics help, but not save.

Again, i'd love to see all the NES SMB games turned 3D if possible.

Any 2D Zelda game could be neatly turned into a 3D one.

WWF attitude for Playstation was cool because of the unusually large amounts of different characters you were able to make (my favorites being Ronald McDonald vs. Micheal jackson). They weren't perfect, but nowaday you could make'em perfect. So in other words, not so much a WWF remake, but a Celebrity Death match concept.

Dude seriously, SMB3 had the single largest impact in my life (not true, but lies help me make my point). And this is just about the coolest thing to surface for a game I love oh so much. So wait we must, and wait I shall!

I know that there are multi-adapters out there. I had one about ten years ago and used it for my gameboy and keyboard. it came with different sized plugs and the bulk of it had a slider dial to dictate the voltage (or whatever). I don't remember it's name, but I'm certain that there are dozens of name brand versions of it.

when you get down to it, the game is basically an overly elaborate chat room.

But what a chat room!

You being by designing your own character. Face, body, clothes the whole thing. I started off with an elderly super hero that carried a lantern and a popgun. A bonus that i was unaware of until i actually began the game is that your character can fly around to get from place to place quicker, as well as teleport.

Another key feature to which i never dived into is the fact that the land is forever changing and growing due to people buying and creating land of their own. Some people have built haunted houses, temples, and even a tower that stretched to the heavens.
The hack savy gamer will take a liking to its feature to create completely orginal weapons and vehicles.

you can download a free 7-day trial at http://www.secondlife.com
I only played with it for a couple of days because I dont have extra money to spend.

speaking of which, for my final time playing I gave away all my possesions to another player. A notable item was a jet pack to which he test drove at that same moment. with him out of the way i was free to hit on his girlfriend. then he came back to beat me up. pretty fun way to end it all!

Well as long as you got a card, you don't have to worry about them sneaking anything away from your stash. They're pretty safe, and the community is really friendly.

but if you try it, let me know if it runs choppy on your computer too.

That is such a good question!
with the new era of VG music remixes out there, it shot the castle themes of SMW over SMB1's swimming, past SMB2 and SMB3's ending, and now it runs neck and neck with SMW2's ending.

i guess i get a kick out of beating a game to the point that I subconciously associate ending music with happiness.

OH MY GOD!!! Casanova Koopa!... now I'm beggining to remember that episode.. didn't Larry or Ludwig realized it was a trick and tried to tell Wendy or something ?
Memories from the series are coming back.. the series used the sound samples from the game for some sound FXs and it even used the game soundtrack...

And no.. the concept of Cel-Shading didn't even began to emerge in the times when the Super Mario Bros. 3 Show existed

even though we are getting off topic, these are all very fun topics!

But didn't TMNT have cel shading? It certainly did in the opening credits, and I believe good chunks of the first episode had some cel-shading.

Who was your favorite bowser child?

mIne was Lemmy, well the cirus one at least. The "L" names confuse me right now. He is my favorite partly because he was fun to fight. In fact I think he and Wendy O. should have traded places in the game. You can't bounce on her rings thus a higher degree of difficulty.
But he was my favorite mostly because he was fun to draw!

Posted on 08-30-04 06:27 AM, in Rage against the anime Link
I know there are a lot of fans out there of the genre, but bare in mind my opinions do not reflect my opinions of the fans, just the genre.

I am no fan of japanese anime. I'm not saying i have not given it a chance, cuz believe me i have. With that in mind i will now say that Dragonball Z is what i consider to be the only watchable anime to date. That and certain episodes of Trigun and Cowboy Bebop.

Wait, let me start over again.

This what i think anime is:
-For some reason, every anime artist has decided to loose there originality and draw every character the same way (yes, not exactly, but still waaaaay too similar.)
-For some reason, a only a few highlights in each show have great animation while the rest of it suffers from the "Flinstone" syndrome.
-for some reason, feelings create large objects. the tear drop sweat mark, the squinty embarassed eyes, the squiggley spiral eyes for that knocked-out or "D-oh!" expression.

-For some reason, most shows have the same cast of characters. for example, the main protagonist is a determined and brave person/alien/ninja alien destined for greatness. His/Her/Its allies are the following: a self righteous yet ultimatly loyal friend whom the main charcter has probably fought in the past. A tiny cute animal/girl/bug alien that serves as comic relief (but that goes for any show). There usually is no love interest. a dark an mysterious/hard ass ally that by all means should be the strongest charcter, but isn't because the main charcter is some special magical/manifest destinied/robotic hero.

Of course there are execeptions to these accounts, but you'll find that this criteria is met in just about every different show.

I will give props to Yugio and pokemon. not for the shows, but because theyfollow the code of He-man. A show designed and created to sell toys and games.

I won't deny that anime is a wildly successful genre. So successful is it that it has been fused with western animation. Teen Titans being the biggest and best example.
Totaly Spies and Samurai Jack also fit that category. i like samurai jack.

So there it is. My gripe about anime. Please reply to this thread because i want to know how you all feel.
