Between this and Mario Adventure, I and most likely many other people have absolutely no motivation to make an SMB3 hack, at all, because it will pale in comparison to your efforts. I know this is the direct opposite of what you want DD, but it's the god-damned truth. Consider yourself Winner of this portion of Internet. |

Deep plots are hard to do when you're limited to two text box strings a level.

You know, lives counter etc. Anyhoo, I'm wondering where the graphics for the Star Counter are located. Both the red star and the numbers. Thanks in advance! |

Originally posted by Dr. MarioI already do that with SMW, and it works quite nicely there. However, doing the same thing has less "impact" in SMB3, due to the added difficulty and lack of colours. |

I know, I just couldn't see the specific graphics I wanted. If someone can point them out to me with a nice image or something...

Japanese ROM hacks never cease to amaze me, either due to awesomeness or insanity. Or both. |

I found em myself, but thanks anyway. I have another GFX problem, but I'll keep that for tomorrow, because my screenshot's on another PC I'll use this thread anyway. |

Originally posted by Rebecca DaiseOh, bull-fucking-shit. I give in, NES-wise. Do me a favor and consider SMW sometime after this. BMF's likely getting weighed down by all the idiot kids wanting their CUSTOM BLOCKZ. Spoiler: That and I won't rest until I get my SMW Hammer Suit. |

Eh, I'm lazy so I'll just post this without screenshots. What tile does the game use for the "blank" areas of Layer 1 of the Bowser battle? I have little green lines in the sky flying around, uh, my Bowser replacement. |

We can all dream, now, can't we? Anyway, I'm just interested in what you want to see from the community sometime. It can be as outlandish as you want, because hey, who DOESN'T have ideas above their own station? My current wish-list is as follows: - English translations of the various Gameboy Kunio games. There's Nintendo World Cup and the Kunio-flavoured Japanese version of Double Dragon 2, maybe the stupidly rare GB version of Technos Samurais? - Hammer Brothers Suit for Super Mario World. If they can do it for SMB1... - A released, working River City Ransom editor. I'm sure you all agree with me. - A DahrkDaiz hack of SMB2. It would be a sight to behold, and I tear up just thinking of the possibilities... - More work on the hacking of the Mario Land games. Now you know my little wishlist, let's see yours! |

The SMB1 sound engine is apparently the most horrible, inflexible, difficult-to-use sound engine in the series. Good fucking luck getting an editor without coding it yourself.

I know this is just a result of how DD made the patch, but during the P switch maze, do NOT tail-flick the little wall of "!" blocks. Bad things will happen.

What I'm looking for is any and all hex locations relating to, and modifying, the fireball. (I want to make it behave like the Hammer Bros. Suit in SMB3 for some reason) |
