Yeah, blame Xkeeper.

So, hi everyone. Again. Don't expect activity out of me (heh, did you ever?), and feel free to flame me however much you want. You'll just be banned, but hey, I don't care.

Well, let's see... One way I liked was in Lunar and Lunar 2, visible where they do appear, and none on the overworld. And they chased you... but they could only go so far, which made it not be so bad.

Or, there was also the way visible enemies were done in Earthbound... there was no overworld that I recall. Everything was connected to something. I'll go for a stretch and say that Underworld place, which did have fights, but I can't remember if you could see them or not.

I'm gonna have to say Tiberian Sun. For two reasons, really...

1: It's the only one I've played much of ()

2: no one else voted for it.

The AI's weak in Red Alert? Well.. play an 8-player skirmish with 7 computers and say that. They ALL go after the human... ugh. And if you ally with one of them, they'll all ally and everyone waits in your base...
At least they didn't always do that in Tiberian Sun. I canbeat them at Tech Level 5 in TS and RA usually...

I have a crappy computer, that's why I can't play any of the newer ones... but I need to find the serial number for Tiberian Sun so I can reinstall it on my computer.

I don't think I'm listing all of my characters. I've only got twenty minutes; that's not long enough to list 15 full profiles. I'll just list four of my main ones.

Name: Jake Papson
Darkness Star codename: Silver Dragon
Gender: Male
height: 6'2"
Weight: 137 lbs
Age: 15..? Certain events call it into question...
Specie: Human..?
Birthday: 7/16
Heir: Dark Brown
Eyes: Left: Brown, Right: Black
Birth Place: Chancetti, Pentonia. Now lies in ruins from an attack a year after Jake was born
Hometown: Pentonia Castle (hey, there's a town inside the castle. That counts.)
Occupation: king of Pentonia - unwillingly, and agent of Darkness Star - a team of spies and merceneries.
Attire:
Choice 1: Mystic Swordsman
Blue Shirt
Blue Hat (feather sticking out. See Feather Hat in FFT)
Blue Pants - made of unknown material
Blue Cloak, hoodless
Ruby Snowflake pendant, given by Kiya Encansia
leather shoes

Choice 2: Agent of Darkness Star
Black Cloak
Dark blue shirt
Black jeans
same pendant and shoes

Weapons:
M. Swordsman: Star Sword, Enhancer, Sapphire Sword, Woodsprite Bow
D. S. Agent: Various magic swords, Crystal Shuriken (seemingly infinite), quarterstaff, his own unique style of hand-to-hand combat

Magical Abilities: Having followed the path of the Mystic Swordsman, Jake is quite skilled in magic dealing with space, primarily with Stars and Comets. He can use limited time magic, and a lot of Ice spells. Was granted the powers of the Dimension Dragon by unknown means, though sometimes his reflection is that of the Dragon. Was also granted immense skill wiht Ice magic when he saved the Ice Dragon when it was attacked by the evil Zeia.
Element: Ice/Shadow

Name: Calera Nightingale
NIckname: Kelly
DS Codename: Blackbird
Gender: Female
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 100 lbs? That's what it appears to be, anyway...
Age: As an elf, it's hard to judge, but she would at first appear to be a 19-year old human...
Race: Elven
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Green
Hometown: Charybdis, Pentonia
Birthplace: Unknown
Occupation: Agent of Darkness Star, Zombie Hunter
Weapons: Sunrise (Morning Star that destroys the Undead in one stroke), Woodsprite Bow (only two exist)
Attire: Typically a tan cloak. Covers all else, so no one knows what's beneath it.
Class: Elementalist, has some Holy Knight abilities
Magical Abilities: As a Zombie Hunter, she knows a vast array of Holy magic; and having trained as an Elementalist, she knows quite a bit of Earth Magic, magic that uses the surrounding land and weather to damage opponents or protect allies

Element: Earth/Light

Name: Zenelly Kufiopo
Nickname: Z
DS Codename: Blue
Gender: Male
Height: Pom-pom exluded, 4'11". With it, more around 5'5"
Weight: 104 lbs
Specie: Moogle, kupo!
Fur: White, duh
Eyes: Blue
Age: 26
Hometown: Vernacci, Pentonia
Birthplace: Lystin, Nirimar
Occupation: Commander of the Knights of Pentonia, lieutenant of Darkness Star
Weapons: Ayvuir Blue, a blue blade
Attire: Is commonly seen in his blue armor, which is surprisingly light and silent when he moves.
Class: Holy Knight/White Mage
Magical abilities: A vast array of White Magic, and he also seems to have a good bit of Water magic...
Element: Water/Shadow ((wait.. shadow... holy knight?!))

Name: Tianna Orine
Gender: Female
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 101 lbs
Specie: Human
Age: 17
Hair: Black
Eyes: Blue
Hometown: Pentonia Castle
Birthplace: Chancetti, Pentonia
Occupation: Archmage and Healer
Attire: Never seen without her long, black mage's robe. Covers all else she might be wearing.
Weapons: Gem Rod, carried more for powering magic than anything; Angelbane, a black khukri carried by the infamous Talirn Orine, Tianna's father; Death's Fingers, seemingly infinite throwing knives also used by her father; surprising martial arts abilities.
Magical abilities; Uh, she's an archmage, fool. That implies too much skill to describe. Since she practices Flame spells every day - typically on Jake - she's very good with them. She's also a good healer, although Jake's quoted as saying she "causes more damage than she heals". He was subsequently bashed over the head with a gemmed staff.
Element: Shadow

Sports: I probably hold the current record at Grafton (school near where I live) for losing the most balls in the ceiling while playing tennis in the gym. Does that count?

I'm rather good at figuring out video game music by ear, and also learned part of the Fur Elise that way. Not in a video game, but the same method...

I took Karate, but quit shortly after I started. Yet, because of my particular fighting style, people still swear I took a lot of martial arts lessons at some point. I didn't; I've taken a total of 4 (3 Karate, 1 Tae Kwon Do*); most of this is stuff I taught myself. Oddly, it works.

I'm also somewhat skilled with bladed weaponry. Knives and swords, specifically. My parents don't know this yet, and I gotta keep it that way for a while...

I've always been a fast learner, even when I don't pay attention. I've sat in Biology classes many times thinking of events in the stories I was writing at the time, not paying attention at all, and I aced the final exam.

*Probably spelled wrong. Don't tell me that, because I don't really care.

Sofie: I'd rather be good at cooking than good at sports. More useful talent, right?

And icicles are good for weapons, if you find a good one... That, and sometimes you get out of school for a few days... if you're lucky, you won't have a pop quiz when you return. And I'm not lucky...

Well, I used to kick ass with the four swordsmen in this game. Now, though, I'm only good with Marth and tolerable with Roy*. I'm capable of using all of the characters to varying degrees, and the one I use depends on who I'm fighting. Interestingly, my skill with Dr. Mario is right up there with my skill as Marth. Yet, I can't use Mario nearly as well.

When I'm playing against computers, I turn off all healing except the Food (computer bait, eheheheh), turn off the Starman and Poke Ball, and proceed to kick their asses. With Poke Balls, they seem to always get Entei or Unown, and often they get Ho-oh... and starmen like to drop onto their heads... That's when I use items at all; typically I'm practicing combos when I fight computers. No one I can fight with is as good as me, so the computers make tolerable practice.

Against humans, I'm more lenient. But, when I'm using Marth, no one should EVER use a Hammer against me... it will hurt... especially when they're near an edge. Counter when they have good damage, they'll go over with no way to recover because you cannot double or triple jump with the hammer. The only ones I turn off against humans are the Starman - invincibility isn't any fun - and the Cloaking Device; I SD too much with that... Small TV and bad vision. Not good.

I trained a friend in SSBM recently. He was using Roy, I was using Marth. He got quite good, quite fast.

Arenas: I play against computers a lot for lack of human victims opponents. When playing against computers, I avoid Big Blue, Poke Floats, and that ship stage because they self-destruct too much there. Against humans, I go there willingly, but I like Brinstar Depths most.

I think the lack of snow is normal. I'm not certain, though.

The missing poyozo dolls aren't normal at all, though... Are you playing a rom, SNES cart, or PSX CD?

The Crono Clone specifically. You need it.

On the rom I used to have, everything was fine. But I got the Clone first, before I went there.

The following are in no particular order.

Locke (Treasure Hunter, dammit!)
Celes (Plus she gets even more points for the Ice spells. My favorite element. )
Terra (Don't know why. Really, I don't. )
Edgar (See a trend?)
Mog, FFVI (Why? He's a moogle, kupo!)
Rydia (Hey, she's not in FFVI!)

Yeah, most of those are from FFVI. Except one from FFIV. I didn't particularly like many of the newer characters (haven't played FFX or newer, mind), and the ones I did like weren't high enough on the list.

It was sent there as soon as you won it.

With a lot of luck, it is possible to clear a stage at exactly 0, IIRC. A LOT of luck. Or savestates. A lot of savestates. Or good screenshot editing

Uh... I cleared worlds 6 and 7 in SMB without being hit once, without ever falling into a pit. I also went through the first five worlds of SMB2 without dying, the first three untouched.

Ok, Lenophis.

I'll just hand you the controller on my FF7 game, when I have two party members down, no Phoenix Down left (after I spent ALL my money on them...), no Potions, Hi-Potions, X-Potions, Elixir/Megalixirs, and no Ethers of any sort, just Cure spells, and try to get back to the Inn alive. Oh, and no Tents either. Just a half-hour walk (not counting the random fights) to get back to town. Oh, and aome of the enemies are resistant to physical attacks. See my point?

Oh, and if you know what, when, and where you have to fight, where's the frustration that's usually attached to random battles? In many of the games I've played, you have to revisit an early area of the game at some point later on, and the enemies are just too weak to bother with. And, unlike in Earthbound, there's no "you win" box that automatically appears if you're strong enough to win the fight on the first turn, you have to go through the fight and either run or fight, both of which are a waste of time.

How crappy? RA2 runs pretty well on a 300 mhz computer. RA2 is based on Tiberian sun engine wise (heck alot of things that are in Tiberian sun is in RA2, just unused. Like the ability to burrow certain vehicles under the ground.)

So bad that half the time I can't run some SNES roms at full speed. I haven't even tried Tiberian Sun on my computer yet... It'll work, but I doubt it'll work well.

I still have quite a bit of unfinished business (leave it to me to start things and never finish them...), including hunting down that biological father of mine, and getting all that missed child support out of him. Even if I have to resort to violence, the bastard's gonna pay... can't you tell I hate him?
