wow this is ridiculously amazing. has anyone heard of it before?

there has been a lot of buzz about The Advent Children. it is actually a sequal to Final Fantasy VII which is maybe the greatest rpg of all time.

The Advent Children was originally supposted to be a game in which you play as Cloud several years after his ordeal in the original Final Fantasy VII game. I was disappointed to learn that the game was actually switched over to a DVD movie however taking a look at screen shots and previews my disappointment was short lived.

this movie has some of the best animation i've seen. It isn't the traditional cartoon japanise style animation (anim

hey all, whats up?

i'm pretty new to the whole board thing but i'll try my hand at it.

to all the people who have those awesome layouts...cool...congrats on it, i can't figure out how to make one of my own that actually looks good but i guess i'll keep trying my hand at that as well.

hope to make a lot of friends on this board and hopefully have a lot of fun.

see you round on the board.

hey man, whats up from Whitby.

anyways i've had a bunch of friends who have managed to fail grade 12 courses. in actual fact it is only the grade 12 courses that schools look at for your acceptance. I myself have failed many courses do to a lack of motivation...probably because i smoke pot and drink regularly and i'd much rather do that then anything else. my life has been showered with family, peers, and mentors saying "you're doing nothing with your life and you'll go nowhere because of it". to my surprise i was accepted into Carlton Univeristy in Ottawa for software engineering which is cool and is something that i would like to do. it may not be out of the country but its far enough away from oshawa, whitby and the rest of durham. have fun but don't stray from the path in grade 12 too far because that and only that is what really matters man. i've got TONS of red marks and alerts on my transcripts and i still did it somehow...if i can do it man...you can too!

good luck.

about the site i posted earlier you'll need to download a japanese script support because everything is written in japanese which REALLY sucks because i can't read it.

i think that this looks unbelievable...it would be great if FFVII: Advent Children (movie) was like a giant prelude to a game that would accompany it but sadly this is not so.

unlike any other FF game i think that FFVII should become a series unto itself and kept alive by SquareEnix for as long as possible. Maybe kill off a couple people like Barret and Could and Tifa (suggestion) and have Marlene and ? (maybe a child of Could and Tifa's) have their own adventure in seeking revenge for the deaths of their parents or something. introducing new plots or subplots or whatever. i think that would be a great idea though should it ever happen i'll be sad to see any of the old characters go.

*sigh* its nice to dream....

cool ok thanks guys, i've read all the faqs so far on all the topics that i've posted under. i'll try and abide by them.

with respect to the layout, yeah i don't even know where to begin with making a custom layout so i think i'll stick with a simple pic that will probably repeat itself over and over. it'll most likely lok ugly but until i stumble across how to do it properly that's probably how it will stay.

hope to see you all around on the board.

later.

for me man, i'm a musician, everything to do with music i love so when shit happens and i lose it or i'm down about something i just go into my room and play my music...Alexisonfire, A Static Lullaby, Boys Night Out, Thrice, etc and chill out. it calms me down because a lot of their music is about incidents where they've lost it to and had less the positive results come from it.

I'll also plug in to my amp and plug some headphones into the amp as well and just rock out with my guitar, no one can hear what i'm playing other then myself cause the amp is in a "quiet" mode. playing music reflecting how i feel is also beneficial to my band as well as new songs come from it.

my point is, just find something that you love and something that makes you happy. something that you feel like you could do all day without getting bored. should a situation arise where you feel as though you need to spaz out then go some place and do what you do man and it works everytime.

i think things are a lot simpler my way...GBA controller = GBA controller...nothing else!

i think it looks like an awesome movie and i'm planning on going to see it...i'm just curious though if the book and the movie have any relavance to the song I, Robot by Coheed & Cambria which is a song that is broken up over their 2 released albums...

"The Second Stage Turbine Blade" (2002) - I, Robot
"In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth: 3" (2003) - 2113 (bonus track)

check them out and maybe you can draw some conclusions. the lyrics to these songs can be found at:

i live in Canada and canadians who have seen it couldn't agree with it more. apart from the leader of our conservative party who think's Bush is a god the rest of us up here hate him, though we do sympathize with your fight against terror.

might i add those bastards in Afghanistan and Iraq who have been decapitating americans and other residents of nations allied with freedom need to get what they deserve. if the United States could play by the same rules as the terrorists play by (in some cases that would be good but in others it would be bad because there's no reason for giving the country with the biggest war machine and a leader who has a bloodlust certain political advantages and humaine disregards to even the playing field) sending in seal and assasinating a few members of those murders immidiate families would help them realize real quick that killing innocent people is wrong, its ashame that the innocent family members would be killed but the needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many (thank you star trek) and i see no other way in getting the messege across to people who just don't care or give a shit about anything but their own personal gains. By sending soldiers to Iraq and Afghanistan yes you keep the peace (relatively i guess :s) but at what cost. Not only that but no nation no matter how great they are or how powerful can win a war against a people who are not afraid to die (lessons of Viet Nam) unless they wipe EVERY single last individual (in this case islamic radicalists) who support the given cause against the nation off the face of the earth. and i'm not pro-american or anything because the United States military and certain political leaders throughout their history have/has killed and have/has endorsed the killing of many innocent people as well. 1998 the Clinton administration, bombed the plant of Al

well firstly, sorry to hear you don't like Coheed & Cambria EvillerLegion, because a number of people have complimented them on their music including George Strumbolopolous from MUCH Music and even Getty Lee from Rush...two people who i think would know a thing or two about music.

secondly, i was just curious if the songs and the book/movie had anything to do with each other. like Coheed & Cambria's writer Claudio Sanchez was maybe inspired by the book or something and wrote a song on it.

Don't kid yourself, the USA has been deemed a terrorist state by the world court and has been responsible for some of the worst atrocities of the 20th century. The USA plays by very similar rules as these guys, we may not cut off the heads of innocents on television... but we'll broadcast the showering of billions of dollars worth of missiles on to their cities. I guess as long as we film it from a distance it's not the same, right?

yeah i suppose that you're right but what i meant is that if the United States wanted to maintain their relationships with other countries in the world, they wouldn't go and break every rule in the Jeniva(i dunno how its spelt)'s Human Rights Act right? i know the United States has done their fare share in the atrocities that we are faced with day and and day out but there's a threashold that they can't surpass without being shunned by like every country in the world and not only that i bet the UN would pass some law demoting the Unitied States from its current position within the UN (i know that its position is a permanant one, but i mean the UN would rewrite the base laws of the UN and replace the United States with another nation).
