Also, I viewed the Electrode battle script (in Aqua Hideout, the ones near MASTERBALL), and it shows some commands (such as cmd(67)) that I don't recognize and thus can't rewrite in Rubikon. You know that RED-SCREEN WILD PKMN code? Well, that probably didn't have the unsupported commands, which were required to initiate the battle. If someone could just port the Electrode script to Rubikon...if only there was a feature in EliteMap that would display the script in Rubikon code...also...how do I compile the code to the file again so that it's at the offset??

I'm a beginner. Good, but a beginner. How would I do this? Obviously, I'd port the Electrode battles (from the team hideout) to Rubikon, and I've asked Kawa how...but how would I make my own flags and sprites?? And how would I refer to these flags/sprites?

Guess what?? I'm making a pretty good yet basic hack- Pokemon: Special Hoenn Version! By doing very simple warp and map editing, the map now looks seems like Hoenn. The only problem is I don't have a Silver Graphic Decompressor and thus cannot edit the map- which is why you have no Pokegear in the menu- and if you do, I need to edit it...

Uh, Kawa...I used TrainEd: Pheonix...disaster...I edited the Cooltrainer Wilton to be named Cooltrainer David...First, I dumped the images with RS Ball. Guess what? Let's see Wally's image...Glacia??? Also, When I clicked on an edited trainer, it saved and closed without warning and then, I loaded the rom in Pheonix again...
DISASTER! Top of the list: ARCHIE. Second: GRUNT. Third: GRUNT. Fourth and below: glitched names. And I can only edit Archie and the first Grunt. All attempts to edit any other trainer resulted in TrainEd glitching "RunTimeError" and closing...
Basically, it didn't work, and it never properly viewed the ROM again...

It works for me...except for Mauville...
IDEA: You know how there are gates leading to the routes? Just put the gates in if connections don't work! That's what I'm doing in my Sapphire hack: Silver Advance! (well, it's not going well...especially when I try to lead to an area with no warps in it...)

Uh...no offense, but, without the offsets for cries and music, this program is basically a "take-up-space-never-used-pointless-to-have-on-your-computer" files...
What you could do is give us the offsets for the cries...and possibly the music, if this program can also change the music...and, why would you have a Pokemon say WTF??? (that may not be a real feature in your program, but someone said it does (dan))

Here ya go. All a need.
You need pokeroms.ini and lunar compress.dll, two additional files.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but I forgot where to get the DLL...
Works for R and S.
Anyway. The Combo box has four options: Pokemon fronts and backs, and Trainer fronts and backs.
Trainer Backs:
These are difficult to edit, as you can only see one frame. I suggest using RS Ball only to edit the PALS of the backs...
-14 - Brendan Back
-13 - May back
-12 - Wally back
any other: nonexistant, most likely will freeze RS Ball to the point where ya need Ctrl+Alt+Del to exit...DON'T RESIZE IT TO FULL SCREEN!!! (darn. no skull pic either)
Trainers:
-14 to...Drake. Somewhere around 67.
Any thing that's all black is a glitch- a non-existant one.
Pokemon Backs and fronts:
-14 to 425: All Pokemon, including ? (?? Missingno, x24 or 25) and (?) (#000, dangerous ?????????? Missingno).
426-440, glitches, last pokemon you selected, only a different palette, possibly real pokemon or free space, this is unknown...don't edit it without more information...
Pointer Management:
GFX: if you want to make Brendan look exactly like Wally or Pikachu exactly like Mewtwo, copy Mewtwo/Wally's GFX Pointer value over Pikachu/Brendan's GFX Pointer value. The downside is: edit one, edit both (I think...), and they don't automatically use the same palette until you change the PAL pointer.
PAL: if you want to make Pikachu so that it's Togepi-colored, copy Togepi's PAL, or Palette (group o' colors) pointer over Pikachu's PAL pointer. Also if you wanna make Maxie Togepi-colored or Pikachu Maxie-colored.
Import Bitmap:
Type the bitmap name (should be in same dir as RS Ball), the GFX location is defined by default, don't edit, then, click Import and-voila! Unless you did something wrong, this should be successful. Sometimes, though, it may insert extra little pixels in the image...
I tried importing/exporting ? (and changing it to Kirby) and the pixels below it (and there were a lot) made it look like crap! That's why I recommend Pokepic for importing.
Misc: Type in an Unown, and it'll take you to the Pokemon who's hex is 14 after- glitch, caused by the fact some Pokemon are rammed below zero in RS Ball.
Export:
Export the current pic as a bitmap. Choose it's name in the white box thingy...
That good?
EDIT: By the way, this tutorial is by...me!!!
Much much later EDIT: By the way, nothing's below zero if you're hackin' Ruby. They're different in Ruby. Brendan back is 0 in ruby, -14 in Sapphire. In Sapp, everything is behind by 14. RS Ball can edit both but is primarily for Ruby.

You do know that editing #000 would mess up the dex. None of the others. And also, 252-276 are all "linked", or, in other words, they are the same. Edit one, edit all. By making them different, you probably screwed up their capture data even more thus making the game freeze. I hate it when I attempt things I know are impossible...

Of course, you COULD just copy someone palette (the one you want/need) into Brendan's palette box......and click apply pointer changes...thus saving the rom and changes...obvious, really...

Open the sprite and look to the side. It should say &H and then 6 numbers. Open the ROM with TLP. If it opens (meaning IF you haven't glitched it permanently), go to the &H thingy, minus the &H and in Hex. Then, you'll see the sprite...
You know, look at the sprite, look at the Graphic box, and look right.

Sounds like it'll be good. Hope so. As for Pheonix? Good luck on fixing that (big) error, Kawa...it IS pretty good, and easy to use. It just has that one glitch and if you edit the/a trainer (or at least it's name) when you fight the trainer, the game freezes on a black screen- view part of the VBA interface (I forget what it's called) and it says "(checked checkbox) 7 Forced blank".
