Oh... Well, I think I need the power mitt to get in the actual part... can I get it by that point? I still have time to do whateva the public tells me to do, at first I though that wouldn't change anything if I changed that part of the overworld, but people complaining about it... I'ts time to change it..

Yeah I know what ya mean... but in the grass, I had to removes all the holes.. what I wanted is to lose a heart each time you fall in a hole, but the problem is that because teh holes leads to nowhere else then Chris Houlihan. room... so I had to get rid of those... but the third shot is the closest one to my actual hack

When it'll be finish, I'll make a release; you'll nkow when it'll be the time... I'm not going to rush it's release as I can easily *ICE* the project when I lack inspiration.. thought it never happen before, it might happen if I have major problems... understand that if I do so, I might not do it in time. Considering it took me about a month or so doing all this, I think it'll take about 15 days for the dark world.. The dungeons will be the longest part to do, hence 2 months. And finally will be the sprite editing, monolgue parts, and menu screens. So in total if I don't take any breaks.. It'll take about 3 months to finish it.. So let's say a middle october/early november release if I don't have much problems at all.

Quite away probably, but remember that a hack is quite long to made too, think about a one man team who has to do everything by himself, complicated.. anyway, thanks to Parasyte for complaining about the rock/trees merging area, I modified it in a way that it leads directly to the lake, so a second entrance in other words.. I changed the perspective of the lake, but the middle isle is still to be modified.. anyway, here's the result.. as of now :

That would sound really good because

1- Hyrule Magic music editor is really crappy and I don't know to hex edit ,

2- I have little knowledge on how to insert them using HM, In fact on a side hack of Z3 I'm making, I used tilesets from other zelda games..new graphics would be great too!

3- Snes ASM hacking you said ?? I'm really looking forward to this, because using HM you have some annoying limitations, can't change the location of the bird where it first appears, the dungeon of the forest (dark world) will only open if he is at that location, same goes for the turtle rock dungeon and the swamps where the desert originally was.. Also using ASM, you can change the location Link will be the first time he wake up... so, I'm really looking forward to this if you can understand how the Z3 rom works inside.

4- Level design, you mean the dungeons and how they are made ? Well if you have good ideas I'm not agaisnt it .. and plot ideas, well I really need to find a better plot.. I made this one years ago, like the king turn to the dark side (classic ).. battle evil monsters and bring the king to normal... I had made the sprite a while ago.. using the final credits screen with the king and put it on Aghnims body and it actually worked great! in the intro you were saying like the king openning the sages lock.. lol.. anyway, the plot really has to be worked somehow.. because right now, this is not the best thing I've seen..

True, and because their not illegal, you can buy them online easily.. I bought a 512megs a while ago, shipped great, received it in less then a week.. I really enjoy it, with this you will never buy a GBA game again..

1- Yeah, I'm not sure how music editing works, and up to now no other hacks except Euclid's one featured new music (and they were only modified ones..).

2- I meant inserting them in the ROM using Hyrule Magic , and no I don't use paintbrush.. because the colors the Z3 rom uses (256 colors I presume) are different from Paint ones... so it corrupts the graphics when you paste them in Paint, I use Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro..

3- And I know about less hex and ASM then probably everyone else on this board

4- High dungeon layout you said ? Well if you are good enough at dungeons editing, you might come up with something good for my hack (our hack? )

As for the plot, I find it futuristic.. nulear explosions in Zelda ? Mutated trees ? Strange enemies--> Zombies lol... that would be kinda like a 3D/3D Resident Evil game without the gore... anyway.. seems cool to me for a Zelda game to have these kinds of events.. but as it not has been done before, this is an original story.. That's not me that would have come with something like that, trust me!

What would be the point in making in a hack for hardcore Zelda players only?
What I think is that this hack should have been called Tower of The Triforce Master Quest... because seriously... this is an hardcore hack..

I've edited all the tiles I didn't used... Really long job if you ask.

EDIT1: Alrighty, just a little update on the progress:

1- I've done ~50% dark world
2- still redoing a few parts of the light world (redone the layout a bit)
3- that's it for now

EDIT2: Here's the brand new part I was making, hope you enjoy all!! Defenetively this is not going to look like Z3 anymore!



EDIT3:OK! I've updated the LW a little once more: removed 1 bridge, relocated the other one, made one isle..

Hope ? We will surely use these; As I recall we were talking about the possibilities of using the mirrors in both ways (Dark Prophecy suggestion thread).. as it would be really cool; now I'd never tought anyone would find these data so quick! If you got anything else like that, be sure to share them, as the community deserves it! Great find!

Looks good! Thanks for the additionnal info guess I miss some, BTW if you still have stuff I don't have, be sure to post them... we never know when we have to format .. and we don't want special data to be lost forever.. Remember when the old Zelda 3 board @ acmlm closed down ? Well trust me, there still stuff "lost".. Some stuff I haven't able to recover, yet I rember some of the data tell us which palettes are used where etc... like e.g Palette 1, Area 2 - does that.. Well that would be kinda usefull if you have that in your files...

EDIT: @ Euclid: As you may know I've been tinkering with Z3 a lot these last days, I remember asking you how to lock the Z3 rom, Well if you are not going to tell me how; let's say I finish my hack sometime, would you lock it for me if I send ya the unprotected ips file ?

@Ok Impala! => As I recall, Omega's first hack was complete.. Not sure though. Don't worry it's a mather of time before another hack comes by.. Euclid is about to finish it's I believe! And as hes the GOD Incarnate with everything Zelda 3 hacking related... I'm sure this will be the best hack ever!

@Omega45889 => I'm really loooking forward screens from your latest hack Omega; as I really enjoy playing your first hack..
