Yo, I with the help of some guys made up a compiled FAQ to use with HM, I already posted this at TEK Hacks, but since not everyone goes there, I decided to post it here as well. The FAQ consists of 20 parts, each detailling everything (or almost) from A to Z... So even if you're a noob you might do something good too. Totallizing a total of 98 pages, each section has it's appropriate pictures...(A bunch of pictures) In case you're wondering the file is in PDF Format (Adobe Acrobat File) and is zipped (Winzip), so you will need both for the extraction/viewing. The files are hosted on geocities, so if the download links doesn't work, try again at a later time. I've hooked to that anime too, I've watch every single episode and read every bit of the manga, and just can't wait for more. I bought Part 1, 2 and 3 in DVD, and these got to be my fav anime since DBZ... since I'm not much of an anime fan, I've got to say that Naruto really surprised me, I mean everything fits perfect into it. The music, ambiance, battles... The original manga creator did a fine job aswell to put all these parts together. IMO it just fits perfect. | |||

True, you really should improve your overworld first, as the world map is optional.. If ya wanna make changes, do the overworld first as the dungeon editor can be an arse sometimes. (You can copy overworlds from on rom to another while it's impossible for dungeons)... While editing, save often and always make backup copies. Editing overworld has to be the easiest thing of the editor IMO... still learning how to do the dungeons. If you want a rather big help on everything HM, I suggest you go download the compiled FAQ I put up in another thread.. as with it you'll be able to do better things then just "World Map Editing"... | |||

Omega, I was wondering if you could contribute to the FAQ in any way, as you seem to know more then you look like.. Kirby, yes HM comes with a help manual, but this one contains further explainations and other stuff not quite detailed in the original help manual. Plus everything got pictures.. So easy that is to understand. |

I'm not for demos, so even if it takes a year to finish, I'll take it.. when I'll release it, you'll know.. until then... I shall work with everythink I got. |

Make a bigger Overworld... I mean, use at least every parts of your overworld... cuz your first hack lack of places to visit.. secondly, make both worlds available (dark/light). Make the world maps this time, to be further more easy to know where we are and where we are going. Change the overworld layout... that's a + to your hack... Aside of all these overworld oriented works, make good dungeons using all of your skills available.. and finally.... test your hack or enter a beta/test phase before even releasing it!! For exemple, here's the layout I used to make my overworld: Try to be creative and you will come up with something good... I've been working on a new Zelda 3 Hack for some weeks now.. and the light world is now finished.. Hyrule castle town has been revamped several times before looking like that, I think it's the part that I changed the most through the hack.. Here are some old screens while that part was still in developpement: As for my dungeons editing skills, they will never surpass those of overworld... but then, I'll do my best! EDIT: The waterfalls that Parasyte mentioned are now fixed...
