I concur fully. If you know z80 assembly you've got a variety of consoles to choose from, among the Gameboy and GBC.

OK then I'l probably try 6502 nes, Does anyone know a good tutorial?

Start off with the z80. Its slightly more common, and erm, cooler. By learning this you'll know how to work with a handful of systems with the knowledge of 1 type of asm and its minorly tweaked variants. This is quite a comprehensive document discussing the z80 microproccessor, specifically dealing with the TI-83 calculator set. Other platforms using the z80 will have almost identical ASM.

Ha, thats great. I love it! But I think the strawberry could use a tiny nose. The one in your avatar has a "seed" right where a nose should be and makes it look awesome.

I've actually done a lot of research on Finland, which has a very high quality of living. Being Sweden's eastern neighbor, socially and governmentally they are quite similar. It is also a nation with similarites to Canada, where I live. So yeah, Sweden pwns America, I actually dislike America anyway.

Trust me, not everyone's English is as bad as Kitten Yiffer's

I'd estimate around 80% of the population here can speak enough English to be able to have an interesting discussion at a board like this. So if those are all of your worries, you needn't worry too much. Besides, if you don't mind lots of rain and sticking u-s in to you strange places in some words, why not the UK?

Isn't English taught as a second language in Scandanavia? Because Jesper, you must have traveled to North America, or you were keen on your studies, because your English is very very fluent and quite advanced for a second language, I've noticed in your posts.

No way. I don't believe that. You didn't make that. A 9 year old couldn't pull that off, especially one who has no idea what program they made it in. Making things like those usually comes with... years and years of experience. Did you actually draw that complete image, from scratch? Or did you open it and save it as a different file? I could be wrong, maybe your just extremely talented. How exactly did you make that?

Edit: Yeah, thats definitely not her work. Here's a post of her's replying to IJdream's "horse:"

If creating or editing an image takes less time than waiting for Photoshop to boot, use Paint. Theres your rule of thumb.

Bingo. Nothing but a simple crop. Er, not even a crop, just a background recoloration. It looked very much like other Ocarina of Time official art when I first saw it, thats what made me suspicious. And here we go. The truth comes out!

Don't fret though, thats actually quite a good job. Seriously. The edges are smooth and natural looking.

Even for that I'd use Photoshop. It allows you to optimize your images, which I find neccessary with jpegs to avoid a large file.

Yeah. It is a good cropping job, no doubt. And, It was done in Paint. I looked at some of her posts and she's the sister of MetalBlueKirby, who was always complaining about only having Paint down in the Pokemon Hacking forum. So I guess she used that fairly crude Paint cutout tool. Ick.

I always use the extract tool or polygonal lasso tool in Photoshop. My hand isn't steady enough for the lasso tool, and the magnetic lasso tool can latch onto undesired spots at times. Then I contract the image by about 2 pixels and feather it by about 3 if its a more complex image.

Oh yeah, and heres a good tip for tails on animals and such. I did this when cutting out a zebra with a big wavy tail. So after you cut out your image and paste it onto a transparent background, select the tail, then make it a new layer. Then, ctrl U to colorize, and set the saturation and hue to the lowest setting, so only black and white are displayed. Adjust lightness accordingly. This removes unwanted color that may have been left behind from say, a field or the sky when you cut out the tail.

I'd have to say that sucks. I put more effort into this post than you did making that. Its just a a blurry sky and blurry grass with a minorly editing sprite plopped in there with some random extras. Nope.

Gamboy, Gameboy Color, Neo-Geo Pocket Color, Sega Gamegear (I think) and a bunch of others. Some other Sega systems have a z80 co-processor that helps it generate graphical effects and sound-related tidbits. I think they include the Master System, Genesis, 32x... yeah.

Well today in Ottawa we got a huge rainstorm with wind and hail and all the fixings that lasted 15 hours, from 4am to 7pm. Apparently it was the tail end of Frances. Woah, if thats only the tail end, I can't imagine what the main collision area would be like!

Having so many well-made smilies on the board to be used in posts and threads is what makes it sooooo cool!
