Now this IS weird, and I'm not even sure anyopne else out there is a fan of the 2005 iteration of Dr Who, but it's the longest running sci-fi series ever and this is the first spin off announced for it. It'll be caled "Torchwood" and will be based in the best country in the world (ok so I'm biased, sue me!)... |
Any Doctor Who fans out there? Check out the news (restricted) |

At the mo my main one is Charlotte Church - "Call my name" - Real tone - What? Why are you looking at me like that, have you SEEN the video? |
I have loads in MIDI format, including the FF7 VIctory tone, which I intend to use in a spoof of FFVII AC one day as it sounds identical If anyone from the Cit calls me I have the Chocobo theme tune. Oh and since I didn't have a datacable, I just used to set up an E-mail account on my phone and E-mail the midi files accross.

I think the Daleks kicked arse in the last series, even though they flew AND were Emo, besides, surely the carnage afterwards made up for it. |

As the films go on, more gets cut out of them from the books (can you blame them.. have you SEEN how big the fifth book is?). |
It's so difficult to discuss something I love without spoiling it, after all I've watched all the films and read the 6 books released so far plus the spinoffs - Im also going to watch the fourth film on it's first night. What you'll find is that as the series progresses it gets darker and darker. Book 6 is the darkest yet. That's all I can say without spoiling things Any questions, just ask me. Now I've gotten a second hand Ipod but it's come with it's fair share of problems.. here goes. |
1. It didn't come with any software, so I DL'd the latest version of Itunes from Apple's website (Itunes 6). However it is VERY slow to recognise the Ipod and I find it very hard to use! Any other programs that might be a bit faster and intuitive? 2. Alright, when it does eventually recognise the Ipod, it starts updating the track listing. All's well that ends well right? Wrong. ABout 10-15 tracks in, I get a "Cannot read from Elmo's Ipod, cannot write to or copy to the disk". It them refuses to send anything over until I "Eject" the Ipod, Close Itunes and open it again. 3. IAfter searching Google I came accross a program called "Ipod Wizard" which helps you "Hack" the Ipod and also check on the physical status of the Hard drive (Run scandisk on it) But this says there is no ipod attatched! Help! Oh dear.... things have gotten from bad to worse.... Right I found the "Ipod for windows" programme on Apple's website. Installed it and all seemed well. It asked if I wanted to update the firmware and I said "Yes". It said that I should restore so that everyhthing will reset to factory settings, and I clicked that, but it then said "Firmware upgrande aborted - disc write error". It now doesn't work at all, there's no menu screen, and when I connect it to the laptop it says that the Ipod needs to be formatted to be used on this PC. When I click "Update" it boots up the ipod update proggy and I'm back to square one. (I get the disc write error again). So is there anything I can do now, or have I got a nice looking paper weight? EDIT: Problem solved - I just tried updating it on my desktop comp instead and it worked! Yaaay!! I DO have a question though.... What other progs are available to put songs on the Ipod instead of Itunes? (edited by Uncle Elmo on 10-31-05 12:18 PM) (edited by Uncle Elmo on 10-31-05 12:59 PM) (restricted) | |
