| I'll admit it, I skimmed all that. But what about Half-Life? That had a good campaign, maybe a lot of weapons but they were all useful, and lots of strategic battles. Halo was good, but I still don't get the revolutionary part. | |||

| My Gamecube's eject button got sticky. Then we tried to clean it with nail polish remover and dissolved and fused some of the plastic. Next time I'll read the bottle. Anyway, now I have to hold the lid down with a book, but the system itself still works fine. On the other systems, I couldn't say. I have a PS2, but we got it not two weeks ago. My SNES still works fine. Except the mouse. The left button hardly works anymore. WHERE'S YOUR QUALITY ASSURANCE NOW NINTENDO? I CAN'T PLAY MARIO PAINT WORTH A DAMN! Pity because Mario Paint was awesome.Anyway. I didn't take care of my SNES stuff worth half a shit as a kid, so it's amazing that it all still works as well as it does. I do wish that mouse worked though. |

I read some things you stated as "revolutionary" in Halo, then pointed out that I thought they had been done before in Half-Life. Apparently the conversation's been broken down past that point now. But I'm perfectly willing to continue it. It's up to you now.  EDIT: My point was, I don't think Halo did anything more than one or two things better than Half-Life, and therefore I don't see it as revolutionary in any real sense of the word. | If it worked in the ROM it would work on the cartridge, unless there's some really obscure bug in ZSNES (unlikely) or the ROM is patched with a so-called "trainer" without being labeled as such (much more likely). | |||

| I liked FF8 enough to play it up to the last boss, which is mysteriously what I do with most RPGs I play. The "plot twist" at the end irritated me though. Also, I never liked way magic was treated like items. The junction system was kind of neat, and used that to good effect (except it was highly annoying to tinker with when you switched parties a lot, like in certain plot sequences), but it never felt right having a limited number of each spell that wouldn't replenish or anything. I think of magic as something your character learns and can replenish if it runs out. Also. If I played through it again (though I didn't like it that much), I wouldn't learn the Boost ability. The summon animations were kind of neat, but it was annoying feeling obligated to pound the square button instead of focusing on them. One thing I liked was the timed attack for your main character.. More RPG's should have those. They work really well in all of the Mario RPG's. =D =D =D |

| The clone: I wouldn't care either way. The environment today is so different that Mr. Christ wouldn't turn out the same at all as he may have been back in the day. Maybe if we let his hair grow out we could see how accurate the various paintings are. That's probably about it. Unless there is something to the whole "son of god" theory, in which case his clone would have awesome holy powers, or be an abomination that would bring forth great wrath. Either one of those would at least clear up a lot of questions. =o |
