| < and > work. The html entities are, unfortunately, translated when they're stuck in the textarea field. Or rather, they're not translated, but the content of a textarea element is treated as, well, html, so the entities are interpreted. This could be fixed by running the post text through htmlspecialchars() on previewing. This is yet another thing to bug Jesper about, even though people will bitch that it's not a big deal and no one should care. I'll leave that up to someone else. Whoa. incomprehensibility = I'm tired. I'm going to stop posting now. =o |

| Damn, I can't stop looking at them either. This one frame looks pretty good. Well, not really. It's very distracting and wouldn't make a good background for anything. But it looks kind of neat. Anyway, that pattern in my minipic (in case you weren't paying attention, this  pattern in  this) is actually produced just by drawing alternating black and white lines the way they're drawn there. One of my first BASIC programs was messing around with that effect. |

| I don't think that's a great idea. Sometimes... occasionally... someone sees a good post by someone they don't like, possibly improving their opinion of that person. In any case, it doesn't help discussion if people hold grudges of silence against each other. Of course, people who are dead-set on ignoring others can (and do) just skip over their posts.. | |||

| Actually I do like the fourth one. Having a link right next to the post to block or unblock the layout would be massively handy. As it is, when I come across an annoying layout, I gotta open their profile in a new tab, block it there, then if it's really bugging me reload the thread in the other tab. Ideally, with such a link in the actual thread, it could even end up redirecting back to the post you clicked it on, since they all have anchors and everything. |
