I'm glad they ported it from the PC version instead of the SNES version, since the SNES version is slightly inferior. Also, has anyone played it's SEGA-CD sequel, Heart of the Alien? That game is HARD.

If you know where to look, getting Heart of the Alien shouldn't be a difficult task. Also a good Sega emulator is Gens, it plays Genesis/Megadrive, CD, and 32X. The game looks exactly like Out of this World, except you play as the alien buddy that helped you in the first game. The game is amazingly difficult, I still haven't beaten it. Another cool feature is that Heart of the Alien comes with the full Out of this World game too. =] (edited by Ralphy Boy on 05-02-05 08:32 AM) (edited by Ralphy Boy on 05-02-05 08:34 AM) |

DKC got boring really fast, I truly am not a big fan of that game. DKC2 was totally friggin' awesome, I could not put the game down, and the envoirments were so badass. DKC3 felt too much like DKC. (edited by Ralphy Boy on 05-04-05 02:58 PM) |

My whole family played video games... Dad's Favorites: Castlevania 3, Mario 3, Galaga, Space Invaders, Mario Kart 64 Mom's Favorites: Tetris, Galaga, Pac Man, Tetris Attack (she's a friggin' pro at Tetris Attack ) Hehe, my dad was a master at the Castlevania games, probably one of the reasons I'm an avid Castlevania nut. Hehe, even today my dad still likes to fire up some Castlevania 3, 4, and sometimes he likes to play Castlevania 64! He doesn't like Symphony of the Night and the other "castleroid" games though, probably because they pose no challenge. Galaga is probably a favorite among my whole family. Used to play the NES version (when our NES would work) but now we use the Namco Museum version, nice our N64 works with no problems. xD My dad's score is still unbeaten on the Namco Museum memory card. I forgot what it was though. (edited by Ralphy Boy on 05-05-05 06:01 PM) (edited by Ralphy Boy on 05-05-05 06:02 PM) (edited by Ralphy Boy on 05-05-05 06:02 PM) |

OCD, anxiety, and depression. If I had to get rid of one, it'd be the OCD, since that's probably what causes the other two. XD |

Cops are so damned racist. This is what it's like down here. White person gets in a fight with a black person. Black cop comes, white person gets arrested. White cop comes, black person gets arrested. |

This thread is a no-brainer. Nintendo owns Sega by a longshot.

Why was Surge pulled off the market? I've heard so many things but I never knew exactly why. Don't tell me everyone fell for the "it makes your penis smaller" myth and boycotted it. (edited by Ralphy Boy on 05-10-05 03:16 PM) (edited by Ralphy Boy on 05-10-05 03:16 PM) |

It's a given that the downloadable games will be charged for, or else that eliminates the purpose of 3rd party stores IRL and companies ever wanting to release ports of games (collections)... so yeah, expect to pay money. (edited by Ralphy Boy on 05-18-05 09:02 AM) |

It is false because the hardware to actually run GB/GBC games isn't present *at all*.

Haha, once at our school the pop machine lid was open and like 20 sodas were exposed, everyone just started taking them fresh out of the machine. None of the teachers cared.

*copies post from that thread* --- A thing that REALLY pissed me off about the set though was that they didn't release the final versions of Even in his Youth, and I Hate Myself and I Want To Die (the final version that was on the Beavis and Butthead Experience CD is SUCH an awesome song, the one from the boxset DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE to how good the final version was... same for Moist Vagina), also WHY didn't they release the radio version of Old Age, where Kurt was actually understandable... and lastly no Spank Thru! The studio version kicked ass. However there are pretty good parts of the boxset however... Rubbing Alcohol in it's own track (instead of being a hidden track after All Apologies in In Utero), VERSE CHORUS VERSE'S STUDIO VERSION, Talk To Me's video on the DVD, as well as the original Sappy on the DVD which was awesome to watch that clip in better quality compared to the bootlegs I've had. Also I enjoyed the acoustic Dumb, Rape Me, and Do Re Mi. --- I guess the hype was that everyone thought the b-sides were going to be studio quality, but most of the box set has garbage quality. Man, who the fuck decided to put the shitty Rio versions of "I Hate Myself and Want to Die" and "Moist Vagina" over the final In Utero outtakes that sounded much better? I'm not talking about musical quality, I'm talking about the recording quality. I don't know if it's my PC and CD player but most of the songs are filled with lots of screeching and really muffled guitars. [edit] Just got done reading the intarweb, it appears disc one and two are actually defective in some copies and are really screechy... (edited by Ralphy Boy on 05-22-05 01:21 PM) |

My only rant is that it has plugin problems at ytmnd.com and for some reason layouts screw up and post numbers don't like to show up at Acmlm's board. The reason I pulled back my old layout was because of Firefox, and I'm too lazy to work around it to make it work here. xD (edited by Ralphy Boy on 05-22-05 06:01 PM) |
