Well, evidently the part about Matt BEING there is a work; what's up for debate is whether he was supposed to say what he said. Given he evidently mentioned RoH, I'm actually inclined to say it was a work. Remember, RoH is (If I hear right) presently involved in an angle wherein one of their stars was purportedly going to WWE; on the night of what was supposed to be his last match, he basically said "LOL FOOLED YOU ALL!1!1" and...that's the last I know of it. But anyway, this seems to me to be the WWE's taking the idea and repacking it slightly (Instead of "going to WWE OOPS NO I R NOT LOLZ!1!!" it's "O noes i r fired OOPS I HAV THE JOB WITH WWEs LOLZOR1!110". I've also heard that the McMahons have more than a passing interest in RoH, though I don't know how true that is, nor what that even means. I'm thinking it could lead to something like the FIRST "invasion" by ECW in the mid-late 90s; RoH stars appearing on the occasional WWE show. |

Hmm. At the moment, I have two more Battletoads speedruns, a Rygar speedrun (Which may be my best run yet), and a glitch in Rygar on two seperate tapes. If I can get them all onto a single tape... |

Originally posted by Colleen Keep in mind I didn't say it was a GOOD glitch. But basically, when you're fighting Belzar (The boss of Lapis) the RIGHT way--you know, climbing up to its platform and such--he'll sometimes throw fireballs almost straight down. If he then throws a straight fireball at you and you have to jump it...well, if the fireball that went almost straight down were to reappear off the top of the screen (Which it doesn't) after it went off the bottom, you'd get hit. Instead, the phantom fireball actually KILLS YOU regardless of your energy if you're unfortunate to jump at the wrong time. and stuff. (edited by Emptyeye on 07-14-05 07:33 AM) |

It seems the opinion from one copyright lawyer is the plaintiffs here have no case whatsoever. There's a topic on the SDA general forums about it with some of the exact text. |

ALSO RE: Zelda II on GameCube disc: They did change the intro, and it had something to do with the "No. 3 triforce" in the original's intro--they either fixed ONLY that (Which was hardly the only problem in the intro), or fixed everything BUT that. I can't remember which. Oh, and I should pick up the Mega Collection at some point. |

I just have to point out that the 2j save state at Zophar, while it is near the end, seems to have been legitly played up to that point--the person didn't even have the Masamune. |
But anyway, since you have what you want, if there are no objections, I'll close this now. (restricted) |

So I picked up a few games at EB yesterday: The Sonic Mega Collection for GameCube and NES Classic: Metroid on GBA. |
Not much to say on either of them...the Mega Collection is..a bunch of old-school Sonic games. If you liked them the first time, you'll like 'em again, and if you've never played them, it's a great way to experience them for the first time, but there's nothing that'll change your mind if for some reason you weren't a fan. As for Metroid, they added a save feature (Kind of), which is mainly why I picked it up. That I don't think I own a working copy of the NES one. (restricted) |

I actually thought about that afterward. The best answer I can give you is "it was $9 for Metroid as compared to $27 for Zero Mission". |
Also, I'm in the process of backing up another batch of speedruns. This batch includes an improvement on my Battletoads run, (Possibly) a full-game Battletoads run, and Rygar.

I have no idea what Stepmania creation files would refer to them as, BTW.

Portability <3. |
Being cheap <3. Stopping and thinking a purchase through rationally < ALSO: So, my improved Battletoads runs have been backed up. All that's left to do is print out the Twin Galaxies forms, contact Radix at SDA, send Nate at SDA an E-mail, and fire them off. Let's face it, a few weeks is far better turnaround time than six months. (edited by Emptyeye on 07-17-05 05:25 PM)

So in playing my new |
1. It's MUCH more fun when you map it out on your own, 80s style. Now I see why it spawned 8 million sequels. 2. Kraid's theme is the overcovered to hell one (Heck, I've done it), but for sheer evocaiton of tension as you go through the game, particularly if you're mapping it yourself, Ridley's theme may be the best music in the game.
