liek me 4 admin.

Actually, I plan on eventually applying for a full mod position...I made sure to actually read the directions before going "OMG BOARD POWAR" and sending an application willy-nilly.

Fuck yes. I've been saying since before PSP launched that its lack of games featuring cuddly puppies would be its downfall. Unfortunately I'm too busy playing poker and trying to save money to run out and buy a DS (And the inevitable Nintendogs).

Pretty much. My workplace has webInspector, so I'd need to ask for a login name and password (Or try and crack it, which I'm not particularly interested in doing). I could, except my job (Quality control basically) doesn't really require web access, and I know I would never get anything done if I were to actually get it.

Emptyeye (to Kyouji): Eh, it was worth a shot. I outthought myself, believe it or not, as I figured "Maybe he'll want us to think it's switched around!" and acted accordingly.

I must say, the reason for Nintendo's "emulation is evil and should die" stance is now frighteningly clear.

It'd be awesome if we were to see translations of some games that never made it Stateside officially (OMG Ys I & II plz), but I doubt it'll happen.

Name: Marc J. "Emptyeye" Dziezynski
Age: 21
Sex: No. Actually, male.
Area of expertise : Spelling. Also, music, knowledge of video games (Especially those pre-2000 or so), and prior experience moderating boards of various sizes.
Skills: Musician (And I'll have the degree to prove it come December), computer scientist (Likewise), video gamer, patience, knowledge of the self.
Highest Obtained power level: On Acmlm's: Local Moderator of General Gaming, January 2005 to Present.
Past: Full Moderator, Kiwibonga's Board, 2002 (When it was based on Acmlm architecture)
Moderator, GameFAQs, "wave two": July-December 2000.

Recommendations: Rydain, Acmlm (Pending), Xeomega

why would I make a good full moderator? I think at this point, the main thing is that I'm not afraid to share my opinion, even though I know most will disagree with it. My recent thoughts on Acmlm and his role on the board at present would be the best example of this. How does this help me with moderation? Well, it seems the old administration had a problem with being perceived as one massive group such as it was their way or the highway. Regardless of how true this is, staff and regular user alike can rest assured that I won't become a mere extension of some perceived "trinity" or what-have-you of "corrupt" administration. If I disagree with a decision, I'll make sure to speak up about it.

You'll also note my prior experience at moderation. Even back in July of 2000, GameFAQs and its community was several times larger than this place will be for quite some time. In short, if I could handle GameFAQs, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to handle anything that comes my way here. I was also a moderator at Kiwibonga's Board, so I know my way around the system, and did even prior to becoming a moderator here.

My schedule also warrants my promotion. Like most video-game-centered message boards, the, if you will, client

Rush are quality prog. You could start with Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures, which are their most accessible albums from their proggy period.

I'll second Fragile and Close to the Edge from Yes, and throw in the criminally underrated Drama album as well.

And I feel the same way about Yes that you guys do about Pink Floyd--pretty much all their 80s material was...well, I like to say it was released by "A band with Chris Squire on bass and Jon Anderson on vocals that called themselves Yes".

Yeah, it's within their rights to do it, though they have to know it can't be agood PR move for them.

I think part of the problem is the way the system works, though...basically, they HAVE to go after these people, because if they don't, it'll be used as precedent if any more unsavory types try to use the characters or what-have-you.

I actually like the bootleg quality of a lot of the tracks on the set. I can understand how some people wouldn't, but Nirvana were really not about studio-perfect production (Despite Nevermind's being VERY overproduced upon a listen now). To me, the perhaps less-than-sterling quality of a lot of the tracks better captures the spirit, if you will, of Nirvana.

Some Kansas, certainly. Boston is stretching it a bit.

Also consider that Rush's most mainstream material isn't their proggiest...that would go to their 2112, A Farewell to Kings and Hemispheres albums, whose format (2112's and Hemispheres especially) more closely follow that of some of the proggy Yes albums--hugeass song as the leadoff track (Or the "A-side", as it was back when they were released), and some shorter tracks on the rest of the album.
