ALSO: Did anyone read the Penny Arcade newspost where they asked Blizzard a bunch of questions regarding the server outages? Was I the only one who got "We can handle all the people but we really can't" out of the first answer?

Truth be told, until I looked at that, I was a little confused as to why I was picked for that forum specifically...guess I spent more time there than I thought.

Oh, um, congrats on 5K too Hiryuuuuuuu.

Yeah, what is the actual criteria for a AA? I know full-comboing the song is one way to do it, but I also got one when I missed a step. At that point, is it based on a certain number of perfects or what?

Here's another question...which Linux distro would you recommend that's easy to set up to a dual boot (IE I don't have to mess around with any external fdisking or whatnot; I can create my Linux partition right in the setup program) with WinXP? I've wanted to play with Linux for awhile, but the fact that my entire family (Most of whom are computer challenged) uses the comp means I can't just wipe Windows, or even change it too drastically.

Well, I do have plenty of empty hard drive space; the problem is that it being a prebuilt comp it's probably all partitioned to the same thing.

In any event, I'll try one of those, thanks.

ah, neat. Thanks.

I actually think it works similarly in the home versions; as I said, I got a AA on one song despite missing a step.

I think it was 7th actually (MAX2 on PS2).

But yeah, I should look into one of the home mixes and a pad, for getting into shape if nothing else. Yeah, I say this every few weeks, but one day I'll actually do it.

As much as I love Firefox, two things irk me about it:

1. The fact that it occasionally just stops loading pages when it finds something it doesn't like (as opposed to doing what it can and working around what it can't) irks me.

2. So does the fact that it doesn't fully display long image alt tags (A W3C STANDARD ARE IMAGE TAGS, MIND YOU), at least not by default, while IE does.

Of course, for the rare instances I need IE to look at something, there's the IEView extension.

Oddl, the best Violin sample I've heard to date comes from a Casio keyboard owned by one of my younger cousins. Weird.

I can answer this... The Genesis ROM format actually uses a form of compression; you have to uncompress it into a binary (.bin) file to work with it--hacking, making a patch, applying a patch, and anything else I may have missed.

I would totally buy a 10-year-toaster with web browsing capabilities.

That is all.

Well, not quite. Standards are well and good, but part of the problem with the W3C standards at present are that even huge web pages (In terms of viewers, not necessarily filesize) like Google will cause an XHTML validator to freak out if you run it through it.

If huge, highly respected websites piss all over the standards, how can the average personal webpage coder be expected to follow them?

Thanks for the correction. I think you're right actually...isn't there some sort of header on .smd files that actually makes them slightly bigger than .bin files?

Either way, though, you have to put it into the .bin format to easily be able to work with it.

I'm pretty sure the Game Informer thing is nationwide, and actually started back when Gamestop was Funcoland.

Did anyone else note the page briefly being FUBAR at the bottom?
