Am I the only one who finds Yiffy Kitten's concept of "Senior Admins" to be a little unnerving? I see approximately where he's coming from with this, but most of his argument seems to me to be "I should stay on staff because I've been on staff a long time, and since few people have been on staff longer than me there's nothing they can do about it." This seems to me to be circular logic. Nor do I agree with his complaint about being promoted by someone he perceives to be on a lower level than him--to me, the admins on this board are just that--admins. There's no "senior" or "junior" or "toddler" or whatever other arbitrary divisions have been created...particularly if said admins have been contributing more than he has recently, I see no problems with the demotion. Really, the only solid ground he has that I see is that he wasn't given notice of this staff meeting--but actually getting the entirety of the (former) staff together would have taken forever, and given his recent participation level, I have to wonder if it would have helped anyway. |

Perhaps if the concept (As it seems to exist in at least that form) was actually applied at some point, I'd be a little warmer to it. As it is, though, like I said, to me, the Admins are Admins, and that's it. |

Reminds me of the time my friend and I left this rambling message on another friends machine about our attempt to make pizza rolls. As I recall, it was also the first time the Dow (Jones Industrial Average, a measure of the stock market in the US) hit 8000, which tells you how long ago it was.

Karadur: It's really not very interesting...it was about 8 years ago, and if I remember right, the actual cooking of the pizza rolls went largely without incident. The message we left, on the other hand, was kind of amusing, because I had never actually made pizza rolls before, so we had to look at the directions and everything. |

Every now and again I'll do the classic "Hey, it smells like pizza rolls in here...OH SHIT, IT SMELLS LIKE PIZZA ROLLS IN HERE!" and go running to the oven, to find all the filling has spilled out of the pizza rolls. |
 This most often happens at school, where I don't use the oven timer at all.Me and my pizza rolls.
