So I just ran though Zelda II (Starting what effectively amounts to "New Game +" mode). In 51 minutes. Not bad, really...too bad my target time is sub-48 minutes.  |

| RCR is great. I have the EX version for GBA. Just as great, I must say. The one drawback is the freaking 60-character passwords or whatever they were. |

| Woo, slowdown. And yeah, I'm trying for the Twin Galaxies-recognized record on those particular settings. The problem is that I'm really not sure what else I can skip (I skip all the towns except for Saria, including New Kasuto, entirely). I'll try a few more times to see if I can make up the difference on skill alone; after that, it's time to streamline the route. |

| Thankfully, I'm not. As I said, this is going through what I guess you'd call "New Game +", where you start with all the levels and spells and such (Not items though) that you had from the previous game. And I just realized that I lost several seconds in one of the palaces because I went the wrong way, and got screwed on the second-to-last palace when I evidently miscounted enemies (Normally, you have the Magic Key for this palace. Because of this, the palace has locked doors and NO in-palace keys. Because of THIS, I have to use Fairy to get through the doors. I was attempting to coordinate killing enemies [Every 6th enemy of either "small" or "large" type will give you either extra experience or magic] such that large enemy #6 would be in a strategic location and I'd have a chance at a magic jar, meaning I could go farther in the palace without having to sacrifice a life. I evidently can't count). This won't make up the difference all by itself, but it's a start. So yeah. The 1-1-1 record is a little more manageable (I believe it's 1 hour, 12 minutes and something seconds), but I'm so used to the "New Game +" route that to go back now would screw me up. |

| My title's decided un-festiveness only stands out further in the happy-happiness of the Christmas scheme. ALSO: YES. I just watched a video run of the "first" quest of Zelda II, and realized there's a point where I can shave off a good half-minute in the fifth Palace. This, combined with fighting optimization and better counting (I'm wondering if for some reason blue Ironknuckles don't count toward "large" enemies), should put me close to my target time. |

| I'm still laughing at how unhappy my title looks in the Christmas scheme. Yeah, he looks unhappy anyway, but it's highlighted when you use the Christmas scheme. Maybe I'll try putting a Santa hat on him. ALSO: *Looks at random FAQ on GameFAQs to see if he can find out about Blue Ironknuckles. Doesn't, but decides to continue reading anyway* Wow. I'm a fucking idiot. There's another huge chunk of time gone. Okay, this should be within my grasp now. |

| I decided to switch to the Christmas scheme earlier today. Not bad, now that I'm used to it. ADDITIONALLY: 63 seconds. 63 freaking seconds. That's a minute. And 3 seconds. Minimizing stupid mistakes should allow me to make that up. If not, I believe I have two more options here. | What Acmlm does and what I do are two completely different things, and people from both sides will figuratively crucify you if you confuse them. Basically, Acmlm uses emulators to help him get the theoretical perfect run in a game. I just run through games on consoles as fast as I can. And yeah, Zelda II. |

Occasionally, though, you'll see a manipulated run passed off as legit, usually due to a misunderstanding (Or in some cases, a nonunderstanding; the infamous Super Mario 3 video is probably the most famous example). |

| It's definitely been beaten. I know there's a legit video out there that comes close, but I'm not sure of either of the exact times. RANDOM ASIDE: I found it amusing that one of the initial reasons for discrediting the video was "OMG HE R TEH CHEATER LOOK AT TEH CLOK CHANGE SPEEDS!!1!". These people have obviously never actually played SMB3 before, because the clock obviously changes speeds during normal play (Specifically, I'm pretty sure it's based on Mario's running speed). |

TMNT 2, ehhh...yeah, it's different from the first, but future games in the series used that as the template rather than the first game (Which differentiates it from the rest of the games on my list). As for the rest, most are simply beefed up versions of the first game in the series (SFII and MKII being the most obvious examples), not really "unique" in their respective series. |
