| Well, having the computer here helps. A lot. As I mentioned last night, being off of the steroids I was on doesn't hurt either. I'll have to check to see the effects of the treatment as a whole...I've probably already said that I'll be back to normal after about a year of this (At which point the treatment will be over, and I only have to go for CAT-Scans every 6 months to check on it)...it's the interim that I'm concerned about. (Although I've heard of people being largely unaffected by the recovery effects of the chemo) Apparently I'm still doing well, or as well as I can be, which is a good thing. The hardest part, like I've said, was the realization that "Gee, this may not be as easy as I thought", because I've generally had amazing recovery times from flu and the like. Now that I'm over that, it should get a little easier, although not a cakewalk by any means. Thanks once again for all the encouragement. |

| Well, I'm home now. Still tired, but eh, that's to be expected I guess. I'm in just about the bext hands there are, from what I've been told. That doesn't make it any easier to go through, of course, but it's nice to know that the guy I ended up with (Dr. Bowen was his name) was pretty much the only guy ever considered for this treatment. I go back to the cancer center Monday for some form of checkup. Then I think I'm home for a few weeks, then back for more chemo. Whoopee. And on this goes for about 6 months. Then I get to go for stemcell treaments, which should hopefully eradicate whatever's left of the cancer. |

| It's interesting that there are so many different flavors of poker out there. I'm not a full-time gambler by any means, but I know enough to tell you this: Omaha is SADISTIC. Whereas you can convincably fake that you know what you're doing with most other varieties of poker, with Omaha you're better off just pushing your chips blindly into the pot and hoping for the best. Seriously. |

I like Dell.  Mostly, you end up paying for tech support. Which most of here don't really need, although it was amusing last year to constantly go "One of these four apartmentmates is a computer science major, can you tell which one?" as my mates' computers constantly broke. |

| I think we're all of the "more = good" mindset with ranks. I'm probably going to start work on a Dragon Warrior one myself pretty soon. EDIT: And by "start" I of course mean "finish". | Yeah, that's not to say that there's no strategy in Omaha. It's just much more difficult to pick up on at a glance, if you ask me. And as mentioned, Hold Em has always been the "main event" at the Series. |
