Last I checked, biogenetics hadn't advanced to the point of allowing a pear tree to produce plums. So the answer is 0. At least from that particular tree. (I knew there was a trick...was just a matter of finding it). |

I have to go with the general concensus here, that being he got a little ahead of himself without stopping to think of all the work he'd actually have to do. Easy to understand if you've been there; I saw many posts along the lines of "i want 2 maek an rpg wut do eye dew." on the GameFAQs programming board from people with no clue, and I personally thought it would be cool to do a Sonic 2 hack before I realized all the work involved (Granting I never announced it)--and there were editing tools already available! So yeah, I understand where he's coming from. Or isn't coming from, as it were. |

I presume you're saying that it's hardcoded into the ROM and so isn't as easy as looking for 99999 (Or the hex equivilent) in a hex editor?

I basically lost interest in this after Darren Aronofsky (Pi, Requiem for a Dream) left the project. Anyway, that Batmobile is...weird. Still, nice to see a new direction, such that it may be. |

All right, back in 15th place! Yeah! And I was wondering what happened to the threads. |

Given the already mentioned penchant of the series for playing on various things related to music (My personal favorite still being Rush the dog), it's obviously "base", as is bass clef, bass guitar, etc.

The MM3 one wasn't too bad. The original was a BITCH if you didn't use the pause trick with the elec beam. In any event, I'd have to say those turrets from the original that open up, fire four different times from the top to the bottom of the screen, and close again. |

Chaosflare: That's because, last I knew, HijackThis did nothing to actually remove stuff unless you told it to (I know the other programs are like this too, but HijackThis is a little more crude in that there's no "delete everything found" option). I'd recommend going to The Computer Cops board and showing them your HijackThis log, and see what they have to say about it. |

Is it me, or are the Beasties basically rehashing everything they've done since 1993 or so. The "Ch-Check it out" video in particular has all the elements...fish-eye lens, shots of them looking down on a ground-based camera, etc. In any event, welcome to the board and the like. Read the FAQs, and you'll do okay. |

What The Wrong'Un said. Yeah, some people in the sports world are rediculously overpaid. But you have to consider the average lifespan of such a career choice (The average NFL career lasts UNDER 3 years, for instance). And a lot of times, that's almost all they're really good at. I happened to read the foreword of John "Bradshaw" Layfield's Have More Money Now on his website. He said that before he became a professional wrestler, he played some three years of what amounted to minor league football. While he had budgeted his money perfectly to that time, he had taken it for granted that he would be playing football the rest of his life, so he was shocked when he got cut after that third year and realized he'd have to get his financial status together pretty quickly (He had $27 to his name at that point..as he said, he had budgeted PERFECTLY for that time, presuming he would always have a job). I imagine it's a similar situation for all but the highest-profile athletes once their careers are over and they're..well, not out on the street per se, but have to join the so-called "Real world" post athletic life. |

Honestly, I bet Kobe will suffer from Scottie Pippen Syndrome. Remember Scottie Pippen? Had some great seasons as the number 2 guy under Michael Jordan in Chicago, then went to Houston so he "could lead his own team" and was never heard from again? I won't be surprised if the same thing happens to Kobe. Shaq is a guy you don't left go. Ever. Yeah, he has zero finesse, but at 7'3" and 330lbs, he doesn't NEED any finesse. There were a couple games in the series (Game four in particular) where the Lakers could've had a chance had Kobe done the smart thing (GET BALL TO BIG GUY IN MIDDLE) instead of trying to play superstar and taking bad shots left and right. |

Stuff sold on informercials, believe it or not, tends to vary in quality, much like anything else. Every now and again Reader's Digest will do a comparison of various items sold on infomercials. The ratings generally run the gamut from 1 to 4 stars, depending on the product. For what it's worth, my mom frequently orders items from QVC--you know, the 24-hour informercial--and is rarely disappointed. |

Another factor to consider is that, believe it or not, the players get their fair share for the most part. Yeah, a lot of them make millions, but that's only a small percentage of the BILLIONS they generate for the owners and sports as a whole. So it's not just the players that are out-of-touch with reality, really. |

O.o Hey DrJay, I'm curious as to where you're from, as I live somewhat near both of those parks (Being from Connecticut [despite my location listing me as being from "The Chaos Sanctuary" ] myself). As I recall, the guy who died at Six Flags was, for lack of a better phrase, a fat retard. He was over 250 pounds, and I want to say he had Down's Syndrome as well (Thhere was something mentally wrong with him). I want to say someone drowned at Compounce actually, on one of the slides that emptied into the lake. |

If you poke around enough on Microsoft's web site, they actually have a service that'll look at your computer and suggest any driver updates it may find. Although you're probably best off going to the manufacturer site, yes. |
