you can work as many hours you want for as long as you grades do not suffer. For almost the past year, I've worked about 20 hrs per week and averaged ~20 units in college.

but anyways, getting a job at your school is one of the best jobs you can get since you can get paid to study if you get the right one (i.e. work at the university library)

i find it interesting that the gcc that is available for windows relies on MingGW to run... so you were right in thinking there is a relationship between the two...

call somefunction.subfunction

Thus skipping some of the instructions in somefunction instead of having to write a duplicate function without them.

somefunction:
[some instructions here]
ret

otherfunction:
[some instructions here]
jp somefunction

Thus going directly from otherfunction to somefunction, which saves an instruction (don't need to do 'ret' after otherfunction) and some stack space (don't need to store the address it came from).
Here is the example in C that almost does that:
  void foo() // somefunction
{
//some work part1
bar();
}

void bar() // .subfunction
{
//some work part2
}

// global variables to simulate registers

but anyways, a good compiler should see that is the case and will optimize the resulting C code to do the ASM you have described.

Your answer as quoted from here
You need to install the game on an 9x environment, then copy the whole installation directory to the XP one. Replace the existing dll file with the new one and launch the game.

hmm...i dunno, there are two main ways to take tabacco, through cigarrettes or that other thing which I'm not sure what to call it. But I've heard of that referred to as smokeless tabacco because you basically put the stuff in your mouth...

Posted on 11-05-04 09:45 AM, in Real problem with netgear MA111+router and Norton firewall 2003 Link
You could always use the Firewall that does come with XP. For many people it is sufficient enough. If you don't want to use that, then yeah, a third-party firewall software is your next option, either that or buy a new router (preferably linksys)

However, I think it is probably in your best interest redo the computer and reinstall your operating system and start with a fresh copy of the OS.

theoretically that is supposed to be true. However, think about the people you connect to--a majority of people have connections that don't upload that fast. As result, you have to connect to a lot of people to get something decent. When I use bittorrent on my university class connection at work, I typlically upload 5-10x more than I download. However, I download at a rate of around 100kb/s so yeah.

anyways, bittorrent also works when there are a bunch of seeders/peers. Otherwise, rates of around 20kb/s are common. 5kb/s...are you firewalled? but anyways, i prefer bittorrent over the other p2p networks since I can get stuff I would never get, like TV shows that are aired overseas and the like

it is broken in one sense, it doesn't do bounds checking and a majority of viruses possible because of buffer overruns and what function do they hijack: printf/sprintf but anyways, unless you are writting an operating system--you can get by just using the traditional versions of printf/sprintf

HH: function prototypes allow the compiler to use a function before the function has been defined, they don't allow a function in a.c to access a function in b.c if b.c uses a function prototype.

as for not being able to access hWindow, does cpu.h include main.h? i believe if you want to reference a variable not declared in your file, it is in that file you declare 'extern'
