I went to bed at 1am (PDT) and woke up at 6am for no reason. What was worse, I woke up before my alarm--don't you hate it when that happens sometimes?

Questions

1) We all learned to multiply by hand in elementary school and there were steps to multiply numbers more than 1 digit. For example, to multiply 11 x 12, we would write down something that will look like this in the end.

 11
x12
---
22
11
---
132
Therefore, the question is this: What is the name of this method?

4) Give an example of a trancendental number.

5) Which civilization was the first documented civilization to use negative numbers?

the idea behind this to create less clutter for say...a computerized suit. If you can use the human body as your wires to communicate, you wouldn't need tons of wire running up and down the body to connect the various devices of the computerized suit. i think this is one possible application for such a thing.

as for cyborg...i don't think so because the idea isn't to implant anything into a living creature...

oh yeah... i forgot about that... well, someone who has a shot at .400 probably needs a lot of walks nowadays because hitting consistently is an impossibility. After all, look at bonds right now, he is hitting .359 with only 153 ABs. So, if he has a few 1 of 1 or 2 of 2/3 days and all the walks he gets...he shouldn't have a problem getting to .400

They must be somewhat effective if there are every where at late night times or off-hours TV. In addition, what about the two or three cable networks devoted exclusively to be infomercials 24/7?

it looks like a virus and/or spyware (probably malware) came in with your download of mozilla and as result, has messed up your computer. When you downloaded the installation of firefox, did you save to disk or had the installation run after it finish downloading? if the later, you may (i'm not sure but it is a possibility) what you downloaded wasn't really firefox and thus messd your computer this way?

sometimes you don't need to uninstall software to reinstall it again. So just download firefox--SAVE TO DISK--SAVE TO DISK. After you save to disk, run the installation and just make sure the installation uses the directory where firefox/mozilla resides.

Oh well...it is a novelty kind of thing...just like those ribbons that are passed out to kids who say they are going to be drug free

have you tried to download spyware scanner like adware and scanned your computer?

as for explorer, you still have the start menu right? if so, can you still select where you download? if so, then you can still looks at all your files through the use of the Open/Save dialogs but it is a little tricky to do.

how many percent of people were let go? if a company is comprised of 500 people and only 50 are laid-off? that is only 10%, which is a moderate amount of people to layoff, if they laid off 100 or more, then that is a hefty cut...

but anyways, i don't think THQ is going to disappear...

that reminds me...that TV infomercial advertising the knives give you 25 knives for like $60 or something like that. However, if you were not to use that 800 number provided, it would cost you over $340 bucks or something for the same number of knives...

so are infomercials purposely jack up the price to make you save or is ron out of his mind?

but don't you need your passport to leave the border? if you don't fly, i would think they do check on the ground as well... so i don't believe leaving the country is going to help... but i guess you would leave before the official draft takes place?

anyways, i hope i "win" the lottery if there is one
